Sweet Green Bean Bundles

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
Quadrupled this for a wedding rehearsal dinner. It was something the groom requested but it was new to me. I was thrilled with how tasty this was. I used the same method as others: beans in a baking dish, added butter, brown sugar, & garlic salt. Topped with chopped , cooked bacon. Definately a keeper! Thank you!

Marinated Scallops Wrapped in Bacon

This recipe is excellent! It's one of those things that you burn your tongue on because you can't wait for them to cool off enough when they come out of the oven. :-) Thank you, Gabsmom!

Mike's Taco Dip

This is my favorite layered Mexican Dip. I really don't care for refried beans & guacamole & there are none of those icky things in this recipe. :-)

Easy Turkey Gravy

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2007
This recipe really saved me. I didn't have turkey stock & didn't have time to wait for the turkey to be done to make stock. I needed the gravy ready at the same time as the turkey. I used 2 cans of vegetable broth & 1 can of chicken broth because that's what was in the cupboard. The gravy turned out great. I was really pleased with it & the turkey eaters loved it, too! I'll try actual turkey stock the next time, now that I have some in the freezer. Thank you!

Chicken with Chipotle

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2007
This is the Bomb! It's one of those recipes that I make for the first time, love it so much, that I end up making it another half dozen times in a couple weeks! At others' suggestions I reduced the milk to one cup & used more peppers because we like it hot. I've done this with chicken thighs and wings. Lately I've gotten lazy & started making the sauce, adding cooked chicken & serving it over pasta with herb sauce. I just love it! Thank you!

I am amazed that something so easy can be so good! I served this at a church meal & had people asking me how I did it. I was almost embarrassed to tell them how easy it was! Thank you for sharing the recipe.

Pesto Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2005
I don't like to change anyone's recipe too much if I can help it but I really wanted to make this & was too lazy to go to the store so I had to work with what was here. This recipe really lends itself to substitutions. I used minced garlic instead of sliced. Cream instead of milk - because I like things to be as tasty & fattening as possible! ;-) Parmesan in place of Romano. And a jar of sun-dried tomatoes instead of fresh ones. WOW! This is a keeper. I will take this to our next church dinner - I always feel like I have to make something that is just as good, if not better, than the last thing I brought. This will live up to everyone's expectations! Thank you, Rosiella!!!

Easy Armadillo Eggs

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2005
To me, these are a pain in the butt to make! But my husband loves them so much that it's worth it. My variations: I use hot sausage & I always need more than 1 lb. I have trouble getting the peppers covered completely. I use Pepper Jack cheese instead of plain cheddar. And I use Shake & Bake Hot & Spicy to roll them in. Some like it REAL HOT! Thank you for sharing the recipe!

Sausage Jalapeno Poppers

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2004
I am making these for the 2nd time in less than a week - just for my husband & myself. I use 12 peppers, 1 lb of hot bulk sausage, 8 oz cream cheese & 6 slices of bacon. Cut the bacon in half length-wise & cross-wise. They are just as good reheated. I will introduce them to "everyone" next week on New Year's Eve. I know they will be a huge hit. Thank you for our new favorite. The best part? They are easy to make. Ya gotta love that! UPDATE: I must have made 100 of these things in the past 2 weeks. My husband is absolutely addicted! And, as expected - everyone loved them on New Year's Eve. Thank you again!

Scalloped Oysters I

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2004
Scalloped oysters is one of the "must-haves" on my husband's Thanksgiving menu. I've tried making them before without much success. This time I scored a huge hit! He told me to make sure I hang onto this recipe. The 2 things I did a little differently: I used half & half in place of milk. And Ritz Garlic Butter crackers instead of plain Ritz. Excellent, simple recipe! Thank you!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2004
This is one of my favorites. We love Buffalo Wings & this is the easiest way to duplicate that flavor without a lot of work. The couple changes that I made are to use shredded cooked chicken breast for the canned chicken. And Bleu Cheese dressing for the Ranch since we are real Bleu Cheese lovers here! This works well in a crock pot.

Warm Blue Cheese Dip with Garlic and Bacon

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2004
Excellent dip. Very different. Easy to make. I take this to work in a small crock pot. It does get thick so a little extra half & half will help to keep it thinned out. This is a favorite of my very picky friend! If she likes it, it's gotta be good!

Zesty Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2002
I made one substitution in this recipe: I used lemon pepper for the pepper. And I made one mistake: I mixed 1 1/2 cups water with the soy sauce. The aroma while it was cooking was wonderful! This recipe is a keeper for us. Very flavorful way to make a pork tenderloin.
