Passover Chocolate Sponge Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2002
WELL THIS WENT TOGETHER WELL, BUT, I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THE BUNDT PAN BUT A TUBE PAN, YOU KNOW AN ANGEL FOOD CAKE PAN WITH THE REMOVABLE BOTTOM, CAUSE I COULD NOT GET MINE OUT OF MY BUNDT PAN AND I GREASED AND FLOURED IT. THE CAKE TASTES GREAT THOUGH BUT NOW THAT IT IS IN PIECES WE WILL EAT IT WITH ICECREAM AND CHOCOLATE SAUCE IN A BOWL, NO PRETTY PIECES HERE. DEFINITELY WILL MAKE THIS AGAIN BUT IN THE "TUBE/ANGEL FOOD" PAN. I ADDED A SPINKLING OF INSTANT COFFEE POWDER TOO FOR A MORE MOCHA TASTE. BARBARA, IF YOU HAVE SUGGESTIONS FOR HOW TO GET IT OUT OF THE BUNDT PAN I WOULD APPRECIATE IT CAUSE IT WOULD LOOK PRETTY OUT OF THE DECORATIVE BUNDT PAN. GREAT CAKE, WITH A PERFECT SPONGE CAKE TEXTURE.

Pecan Chewies

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2004
These are soo good!! Like a butter pecan brownie. 5 stars cause it's so easy to put together and because they are soo good!! My dough was crumbly too, I just worked it together with my hands and then pressed it into the pan. Awesome Tonya!

Orange-Drizzled Pumpkin Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2004
Soo good! Doubled the spices as advised and I baked mine in a 9x13 pan with no problems. Also made the drizzle with orange concentrate as suggested too and it was great, thought it was too orangey at first but the more I ate it the more I thought it was perfect. Would be good without the glaze too as it is so moist. I am putting this in my recipe file for sure. Easy to make and so tasty, everyone has to try this.

Best Ever Split Pea

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2005
So simple and so so good makes this a perfect recipe. My husband says it's the best soup he has ever eaten! Only variation I did was I used veg broth instead of chicken, my split peas were done in 30 mins and used the inversion blender to whir it up a bit. Awesome!!
