Easy Raisin Cake
I had forgotten this recipe! Years ago I used to call it the "end of month cake." When supplies were low it didn't require any milk or eggs. Made it again this week. Love the spices---and it works perfectly just as written! Left out the walnuts for the sake of grandson's braces.

Blueberry Pie
Hubby wanted blueberry pie. I only had about 3.5 cups of blueberries, so I substituted FRESH FIGS. It was perfect. The blueberries colored and flavored the figs so that they were indistinguishable. Since I made a top crust instead of a lattice, I turned the heat back to 400 and only cooked about 40 minutes. Delicious! Hubby was very happy.

Insanely Amazing Jalapeno Cheese Dip
I was surprised how much I liked this. My SIL gave me some fresh jalapeños, we needed a snack for company, and I had all ingredients on hand. After reading reviews, I used 1/2 cup sour cream and 1/2 cup mayo; fresh jalapeños and fresh unknown pepper from hubby, and half loaf of leftover Italian bread. I sliced the loaf lengthwise, scooped out part of the center, poured the cheese on top, sprinkled on paprika for color, and baked 25 min. Worked best to just slice it. Fantastic. Got rave reviews. I only used 2 jalapeños and it was not at all hot. Will use more next time. Thanks for this one!
