Irresistible Pecan Pie
LOVE this pecan pie recipe! It's about as close as my mom's that I've been unable to find. I've made this several times, and after doing it a couple times, I don't use any crushed or quartered pecans. I just use 2 cups of whole pecans, and I mix that into the syrup mixture, because all the pecans, crushed or not, rise to the top when baking anyway, so all that work and arranging is rather pointless. Also, for the people who have had problems with the pecans on top burning, it's because they have no protection - if you do like the recipe does, then save a few tablespoons of the mixture to drizzle over the top - this will prevent them from burning. (The first time I made it, I didn't do that, and they burned, too.) Or just mix them all in like I do - it's SO much easier, super quick to make, and every year around the holidays, people love it.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing
I made this for the first time this year, and used the sage pork sausage as recommended, and other than that, did not deviate from the recipe at all. It was all right, nobody of the 20 people we had over was particularly impressed with this stuffing. NO ONE went back for seconds and we had a ton of leftovers, which we unfortunately did not want. I think everyone missed the bacon/celery/onion stuffing I usually make. The recipe seemed rather heavy on the rosemary, and I don't think anyone was fond of having fruit in it. Good for people who like this flavor profile, but definitely not for our family. I won't be making it again.

Perfect Turkey
OMG, this recipe was FANTASTIC! I've done different brines before, always like to try something a bit new every year. The turkey came out pretty good, I'd give it four stars (I've found better brines on this site) but the gravy that this particular recipe makes is UNBELIEVABLE! Everyone said it was hands down the best turkey gravy they've ever had. All I did was mix several cups with a few tablespoons of flour in a saucepan, and OMG, wow! The only way we deviated was instead of bothering with turning the turkey and whatnot, we just used a turkey bag. Used a 20lb turkey, it was done in a little under three hours. I might add more ingredients to the brine next year, but other than that, I am keeping this recipe the same next year! LOVED it!
