I learned to cook from my grandmother and have loved everything about cooking since.
My favorite things to cook
I love making my own breads and pastries and healthy dinner recipes are not far behind. Dessert follow all of these for my family would rated have my dinners and breads than sweeter fare.

My cooking triumphs
Thanksgiving this year wass a triumph. I divided up the raw turkey as I have done for 3 years and cooked each section to perfection with just salt and pepper and pultry seasoning. We had the breasts for turkey day along with roasted squashes, cape cod turnip, sweet potatoes, creamed onions,buttered peas, and my whole wheat mini rolls. The stuffing was a hit which I had stuffed ito the turkey carcass, wrapped in foil, and baked a few hours the day before. The pimplin Pie was great too-baked right off the Libby's can!
My cooking tragedies
When I was first married I had many cooking tradegies, bread hard as a rock, piecrust too tough to eat... Affter 20 plus years of baking and cooking I now have a feel for the food. Not that I don't occasionally burn bacon!

Red Pepper Soup
excellent soup, i only used 3 very large red peppers and it came out great and was a hit!

Black Forest Cake II
Made my Black Forrest Cake for the first time today. I drained the cherry pie filling I had and added a little hot water to the syrup to thin it out and used it in the cake. I baked the cakes in 2 8 inch square pans instead of round ones I do not have in flex ware. They came out of the oven looking good. I had to used cocoa powder in the cakes. The cake was delicious tonight with the cherries between the four layer cake with the coffee flavored frosting (I added about 3 T. coffee to the frosting to make it creamy) hit the spot: cherries-chocolate-coffee yum-o. I left out the whipped cream part, but frosted the top with the coffee frosting and drizzled melted chocolate on top.

Scrumptious Salisbury Steak in Mushroom Gravy
This was so delicious i added it to my recipe collection. I used ground turkey, panko bread cruumbs, and chicken base paste instead of beef and cracker crumbs. Try it this way, it is so...good!
