About this Cook
Just a post-bach learning to become an dutiful housewife....pfft yeah. My mother passed away from breast cancer in 2004. She was the best cook and baker I've ever known. Everything I make, it's in honour of her. I hope one day I can cook as well as she did. Oh, and this bothered me a little bit. There is no box to select "sports" under favorite hobbies. Well, I LOVE sports. I love to watch football and futbol, and I love to play them all.
My favorite things to cook
Breakfast and desserts, but I'm getting pretty good at some Asian dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Spritz Cookies, Lefse, Norwegian Thin Pancakes.
My cooking triumphs
My mother's chocolate chip cookies! (Seriously, it's harder than you think to live up to your mother's famed cookies)
My cooking tragedies
My first attempt at hashbrowns....mush. Homemade applesauce, that while cooling in the sink, a friend washed his hands over the top of it.

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II
Really good and huge hit with the roommies. I didn't have much artichoke so I add more spinach, still great! I will probably use the same recipe to make just a straight hot spinach dip.

Orange Drop Cookies IV
Great recipe, had plenty of frosting. I added some cream cheese to make the frosting not so sweet. I'd probably make more of a cream cheese frosting next time. Still a great and easy recipe.

Bacon-Flavored Dog Biscuits
I made these for my family for their dogs at Christmas. They were easy to make.....but they gave all the dogs the runs.
