About this Cook
I am a 42 y/o single mom of a seriously handicapped 22 y/o son. I have a great job that allows me to stay home and take care of him. I have many hobbies that revolve around food and growing. Over the summer I grew tons of veggies and fresh herbs in hay bales. Lots of fun and very interesting to do! I love to cook, write, take pictures, and I also mentor a 13 y/o adhd boy and a 10 y/o downs syndrome girl. My life is hectic sometimes, but very rewarding in the accomplishments that I am seeing from all my "kids". I love to give back and teach!
My favorite things to cook
I love to make Oriental, Spanish, Mexican, Indian, traditional American dishes. I am not a baker, but I do dabble in pasta making and different kinds of pestos and chimmichuri sauces. I grow my own sprouts and cook with them often. Mostly sunflower sprouts!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baked chicken, broccali salad, chili, and beef stew.
My cooking triumphs
I was featured in a richard simmons food mover cook book.
My cooking tragedies
peanutbutter shrimp pasta.. (don't ask..lol)
