About this Cook
Full time Mom and a full time nurse (though I'm lucky, I work 3 12-hour shifts a week in a Pediatric Emergency room.) I'm a graduate of Rutger's College and I'm currently attending Seton Hall University for my Master's in Nursing.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake and I love cooking with fresh, home grown vegetables & herbs from my garden.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Mom is my biggest inspiration. I love Thanksgiving dinner at her house, she makes the best turkey (never dry) and the greatest gravy. We always joke that her tombstone will say she was the best gravy
My cooking triumphs
I consider every great recipe I discover a cooking triumph.
My cooking tragedies
Too many to list!! I've been cooking since I was 12 and I can't count the amount of times that I have thrown an entire meal out. Lately my biggest problem is burning things when I have them under the broiler.

Pretzel Turtles
Here is another 5 star review for this fantastic recipe. I used a number of the reviews recommendations: square pretzels, Dove chocolates filled with caramel, toasted the pecans after tossing them in a little butter. I also drizzled a little semi-sweet chocolate on top for a beautiful finishing touch. My husband took these to a New Year's Eve party and even though there was too much food and tons of left overs, every one of these babies got eaten!! There are the perfect bite size treat.....sweet, salty, chocolate....perfection! Thanks for a great and easy recipe!

Sesame Parmesan Zucchini
The flavor was good but these were mushy and had a horrible texture. The cooking time is way off. Would not make again.

Spinach Quiche
I just returned from a PTA sponsored breakfast for the teacher's because today is national teacher's day and I was asked to help out and make a quiche. I usually do not make something to bring somewhere without having made it before but I figured with all the positive reviews of this quiche, I couldn't go wrong. This is a TEN star recipe. There were five quiches at the teacher breakfast and this one was gone in 15 minutes. Teachers were asking me for the recipe! I only used half a stick of butter and half the package of spinach, I just feel that the whole 10 oz package of spinach is too much. Other than those minor changes, I followed the recipe exactly. The garlic-herb feta gives it a wonderful flavor. I have also made the crustles spinach quiche on this website and this one is really much, much tastier and delicious. I can't want to make it again. Thanks for a superb recipe!!
