Green Chile Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2011
Really good! I halved the recipe and made it crustless in a greased 10 - inch pie pan. Came out great.

Kevin's Sea Shells

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2011
Very good. I only had 1 lb. shrimp so I added about a cup of sauteed mushrooms to the filling. I also added garlic to the sauce. I didn't cover the filled shells with another shell (mostly because half of them broke while cooking!) But I think I'd do it that way again anyway. Be careful not to overcook the shrimp. Mine were a tad chewy but the taste was so good it didn't really matter.

Pumpkin Pie Cake II

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2010
I made this exactly as directed and was quite disappointed. I was skeptical about just sprinkling the cake mix and drizzling butter on top but I figured some magic must happen and it would bake up nice. It didn't. It was like bland pumpkin pie with dry cake mix on top. Maybe some people like the taste of straight cake mix, but no one at my dinner party ate more than a couple bites.

Veggie Pot Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
This was great. I increased the cornstarch to 5 T and only used a pie crust on top. It held together just fine. I would decrease the salt to 1/2 tsp.

Zucchini in Sour Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2010
Yum! I omitted the sugar and I'm glad I did. It was a little soupy due to all the liquid from the zucchini so I might reduce the water next time. Very tasty though.

Almond Chocolate Torte

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2008
I thought this was just OK, which surprised me after all the rave reviews! It was very easy to make and you can't go too wrong with whip cream and chocolate, but for me not worth the calories. It tasted kind of flat...might be better with some almond extract and/or vanilla, maybe even a little salt?

Dutch Babies II

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2008
This was great and my kids LOVED it. I doubled the recipe (except the butter - 2 T was more than enough) and made it in a 9 x 13 pan. I slightly warmed the eggs and milk together and melted the butter in the oven. Also used 1 tsp vanilla instead of nutmeg.

Green Goddess Dressing III

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2007
I think this is a basically good recipe with great potential but it was WAY too fishy tasting. Next time I'll try using only one can (or maybe even half a can) of anchovies instead. I agree with a previous reviewer that it doesn't need the added salt!
