Korean Salad with Sesame Dressing

Reviewed: May 13, 2013
I highly recommend using rice wine vinegar instead of white vinegar. I double the recipe and added a tbsp each of fresh garlic and ginger. I also used half regular sesame oil and hot sesame oil. I like spicy. This dressing taste a whole lot better the next day. I use it as a salad dressing or a regular dipping sauce for meats. Very delicious.

BBQ Dry Rub

Reviewed: May 2, 2013
The rub is actually really good. I only did 6 servings and added 2tsp of onion powder and garlic powder. i rubbed it in my pork really well, let it sit, and rub in some more. I had 4 country rib pork and still had a bunch of left over rub left. We grilled our pork and it was delicious.

Golden Chicken Tenders

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2012
This was not good. Yes, it was easy but the stuffing was really bad cook this way. I would highly recommend just baking chicken by itself and cooking the stuffing separately. I gave it a 2 star because the chicken was not dry. The stuffing was. :/

Lemon Chicken Piccata

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2011
Would definitely recommend using only half of a lime and not put any pieces into the broth to simmer. The first time I made it, I had to dump the whole thing out and start over (brother). It was sooooooo bitter and way toooo sour for our taste. The second time came out much yummier. should also add some salt and pepper to the sauce. Hopes this helps someone.

Potato Dumplings with Bacon and Onions

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2011
It was OK. I used up my last 2 potato because I wanted more for sides instead of mashed so decided to try this. I wish I could've just did mash instead. I followed recipe exactly even adding some salt to it and it was still blah. It was just too rubbery for me and none of my kids ate it. I wont be trying this again.

Baked Lemon Chicken with Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2011
Made it twice. The first time was OK. Took too long and it was kinda blah...needed some seasoning. The second time I made it I sprinkled salt and pepper on the chicken breast, coat it in flour and browned it on a skillet with olive oil. I added some garlic to the the pan also. Added a can of chicken broth and some dried tymes. Put the slices of lemon on each chicken, brought it to a boil and reduce the heat to simmer and covered it for 20 mins. Took the chicken pieces out and reduced the broth to a saucy consistency, about 10 mins on med. heat...end result= yummmm!

Spicy Bok Choy in Garlic Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
I added more veggies. This was really good. I added more veggies to the dish beside bok choy. I added broccoli, string beans, mushrooms, canned baby corn, and bean sprout. Cooked all the hard veggies first. I sauteed the garlic and ginger first and added the rest of the ingredient to the pan towards the end. It was GOOOOD!

Crispy Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2010
There was NO flavor to this dish!! I would definitely recommend removing the cornmeal all together. I will definitely rub all the dry ingredient together before coating it in flour. The milk does nothing, dont even bother with it. The only reason why I'm giving it a 2 stars is because its baked...lol.

Baked Asian-Style Honey Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
This was not good. Not much flavor, it was just too bland. I had to make some spicy sauce to dip the chicken in otherwise I would have never eaten it.

Sensational Steak Sandwich

This is the BOMB!!! It is soooo friggin good! The only thing I did differently is to let it simmer on the stove for an hour instead of putting it in the crock pot. Easier and less mess to clean :)

Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2010
This was absolutely delicious! I used 4 granny smith apples, 1 "Grands" biscuit can (makes 8), and halve the rest of the recipe. Put it in the oven for 40 minutes and YUMMMM! Oh, I would recommend putting alumium foil on the 9x13 pan for easy cleanup!!

The Best Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2010
This was good. Next time, I will keep the crust recipe, cook it longer than 15mins, and double the actual lemon recipe. My only issue is that it's really mushy when cut up. I think this is due to the crust not being in the oven long enough.
