Slow-Cooked, Texas-Style Beef Brisket

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2015
Awesome! Cooked an 8 pounder on low for just over eight hours. Perfecto! Wouldn't change a thing! Tip: If you have a picky eater, take some of the meat out and set aside, covering it with some of the sauce from the crockpot, before you add the sauce to the crock pot. It's great plain, too!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2014
These were fabulous. Five stars for the recipe, and I'll make them again. Easy and delicious. My family loved them on Christmas morning. Note: I followed instructions exactly and used breadmaker; however, I think the breadmaker didn't do well mixing the ingredients. I ended up taking the dough out and kneading it myself; thus, the dough was a bit tough. Next time, I will use the dough hook on my mixer; I think it will produce better results.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2012
Wow! I took some of the reviewers' suggestions and customized this for my seven-year-old son's birthday; it was fabulous. I followed basic directions for assembly, including the springform pan (which was key), but I substituted the following: 1. Famous Amos Chocolate Chip Cookies (12.4 oz) 2. 1/4 c I Can't Believe It's Not Butter stick 3. 1 Quart Turkey Hill Vanilla and 1 Quart Turkey Hill Choc Chip Cookie Dough (from two 1.5 "half" gallon tubs) Since I used choc chip cookies as the crust, I layered the vanilla first and let it freeze. Then, I crumbled some cookies between the first and second layers. I did not use scoops as the recipe suggests for the second layer, I just followed the instructions for the first layer. I topped it with cookies and drizzled hot fudge over. And I froze it overnight. Let it sit for about 20 minutes, and removed the springform pan. It was perfect!

Czech Roast Pork

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
Love it--easy and tasty. I loved all the caraway seeds, buy my husband found them excessive. I may cut them down a little next time. Subbed olive oil for veg; used sirloin pork roast. Made the gravy too--excellent. Thanks for the recipe.

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
Easy, fast, and tasty. I loved it, though my kids didn't like it. I think it must have been the cinnamon. Next time I might leave it out for them. I also might add a little lemon juice. I used the Splenda sugar blend for the sugar (only requires 2T).

Easy Garlic Broiled Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
This is a great recipe, thanks! I had chicken thighs (bone-in), and I was feeling lazy, so I used garlic powder (approx 1/2 t) for the garlic (and did not have parsley). Otherwise, I followed the directions, and it was great. My kids loved it--my 8-yr old ate 3 pieces!! I will make this again and again, and it would be easy to substitute whatever spices you wanted with the butter.

JIF® Irresistible Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2010
Like another reviewer, I upped the peanut butter to a cup but otherwise kept the recipe the same. It was fast and easy, and the kids loved them (husband too :D).
