Homemade Four Cheese Ravioli

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2010
didn't make the pesto, used my homemade red sauce. the dough was fabulous (i did have to add a little more water than recipe calls for) taste and consistency were both great. i followed filling recipe as written, but added cottage cheese, equal parts to ricotta. i did add ground beef to some, spinach to some. plates were cleaned, excellent recipe. made extra filling, going to make up more and try to freeze....will see how that goes. was concerned from other reviews about wraps opening, but tried to seal tight, not a one opened.

Hunt's® Tomato and Pesto Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2012
I used ingredients per recipe. Was short on time, so cooked chicken in one skillet and started tomato mixture in another. He summed it up best, "has great flavor, but doesn't jump out at you". think unlike others, next time I will add a bit more pesto, but could just be our taste preference. I did have the leftovers two days later and was almost better, maybe key is to let it cook and simmer together longer. This is a great recipe, very quick and easy to prepare and we will be eating again.

Easy Whipped Cream

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2010
1st time I made this, I followed the recipe. 2nd time, I reduced the amount of sour cream. Was very good, but a little too much for us. I put the bowl in the freezer for a few minutes prior to making. Will increase the vanilla next time. Great recipe and easy to modify based on your own taste.

Salmon with Raspberry Ginger Glaze

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2012
we really enjoyed this! I did not discard solids, next time I'll discard some, but not all, like that texture. I didn't have a lot of time, so I used ginger spice rather than the fresh ginger. Will be making this again.

Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
Even with the reviews I was not sure that I was going to like this. Not a mountain dew fan, but followed the recipe. These were amazing, and didn't last long!!!! Will try sprite next time, try to stay away from the caffeine. Probably will try less sugar too, really don't think they need this much sugar, but a personal preference.

Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2010
we used ingredients as written. we baked rather than frying, 350 about 30 - 35 minutes. breading was crunchy. we added sauce and cheese to serve. had tried it plain, as good as it is, we decided would be too dry by the time you were finished if eating plain. very good, very easy

Individual Beef Wellingtons

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2010
We LOVED these. Only change to recipe is that I added garlic to mushrooms and onions. I did not do the egg wash as others suggested, will next time, crust turned out well, but think better with the wash. I did make the sauce recommended by rspoinedyorkies - dec 2009, was great as recipe calls, but that sauce made this meal for us. I baked without searing, steaks were no pink in 25 minutes.

Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2012
I am a firm believer in making things from scratch. I did not care for this, and I had everyone try it befor I put it on the enchiladas and no one wanted more than the taste. I then ran to the store for a can of enchilada sauce. I have to say it was MUCH better after I put in the chocolate. I went over and over the recipe thinking I missed something, if I did, I can't figure it out. This is not something I will even attempt again. I wish I knew what happened, was SO looking forward to trying this based on the reviews.

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake V

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2012
I didn't have the time to deal with two pans, so made this in a 9x13 pan and didn't use the crushed pineapple or the coconut (wasn't sure about it as we were taking this to a party). the juice in place of the water was SO good. Couple people had multiple pieces, this was just moist (used moist cake mix) and had great flavor. I didn't use a full 1/2 c of brown sugar but next time I will.

Chocolate Caramel Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2012
have now made these twice. on advice from other reviews, do use about 2/3s of the mix on the bottom. for ease I used caramel sundae syrup and it worked just fine. these don't last long around here, they are wonderful

Brigid's Blackberry Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2012
this was great! I don't ever use salt, so I left that out. Just thought the sugar seemed too much, so I only used 1/2 c, wasn't quite enough so will try again with 1 c. I did make my own crust. The amount of berries was perfect for a nice thick pie.

Greek Honey Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
we loved this. didn't use the orange zest, but otherwise made exactly per recipe. taste similar to baklava. only used half the honey syrup, was just too much in quantity and too sweet. will be making this again

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

we loved this recipe. I just used a cookie sheet sprayed with pam and baked. topping was almost too thick, didn't want to spread easily. Will be making this again.

Mom's Pie Crust

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2012
I made this with both an apple pie and a chicken pot pie. Did need to use a bit more water than the recipe calls for. This was easy to work with and had great flavor. Wasn't too flaky, but that makes no difference to me. This recipe is my go to crust recipe.
