I'm a 30 year old mom to 3 (girl 12, girl 2, and my baby boy 2 months). I teach high school science. My primary focus right now is on weight loss and health. I grew up cooking a California version of soul food. My parents and grandparents used a ton of greeses, oils, and fats as well as lots of seasoning salt. We ate the same veggies over and over (corn, green beans, and spinach). My goal is to get to know all kinds of veggies and spices. I'm also interested in growing my own veggie and spice garden. I love the receipes that I have tried out from here so far and I can't wait to develop some to contribute.

I'm in love with all tyoes of salads right now, and I love to make anything that uses my crock pot.

Egg plant :( for some reason it just comes out mushy.
