Cream Of Garlic Soup

Cleaning the garlic takes a long, long time, and even though I love garlic, this soup tasted too strongly of garlic. It is definitely not worth the time you have to invest in making this soup.

Raspberry Banana Bread

Excellent, moist bread. Made a few changes - used 1C white and 3/4C whole wheat flour, 3/4C Splenda blend instead of sugar, and frozen blueberries instead of raspberries since i didn't have raspberries. I will definitely make it again!

White Chip Chocolate Cookies

One of my all-time favorite cookies. They are a mix between brownies and cookies. The dough will appear dry, but the cookies turn out perfect. I made them with butterscotch chips once, and then with macademia nuts (instead of the white chips), and both were wonderful.

Chocolate Raspberry Cookies

Very soft, moist tasty cookies. I used Splenda instead of sugar, and topped the cookes with low-sugar raspberry jelly as suggested before for added raspberry flavor.

Good recipe. I added a teaspoon of orange extract, and it still didn't taste too orange-y. Also, i added a bag of dark choc chips instead of dipping the cookies in white chocolate.

Torrejon Oatmeal Bread

I have been baking bread for a long time, and this is definitely at the top of my favorite list. I made it twice this weekend - first by hand, following the recipe (although i had to add 1/2 cup of additional water to the dough), then i tried it making with the bread machine on dough cycle and baking it in the oven. When i make it in the breadmachine in the future, i won't pre-cook the oatmel - it becomes a big "lump", and is hard for the machine to handle. Also, i reduced the brown sugar to 1 tbsp, substituted 1 cup of whole wheat for bread flour, and 1/4 cup of wheat gluten for bread flour. Very tasty bread - I didn't think it was dense. I would highly recommend it!

Sugared Black Raspberry Tea Cookies

Good cookies - best eaten within a day. I substituted 1/2 teaspoon almond and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract for the 1 teaspoon vanilla, and didn't roll the cookies in the extra sugar. Use good quality jelly - it makes a difference!

Greek Butter Cookies

Good recipe. It is very simple, doesn't need a lot of ingredients. I definitely wouldn't bake it on 400 degrees again - the bottom of the cookies were too brown and the cookies were too dry. Try 350, for probably 13-14 minutes. Otherwise, the cookies are tasty, if simple - they actually taste better a day or two later.

Very easy, quick, tasty cookies. I agree with a previous note - the cookies do need to bake for about 13 minutes. it makes about 3 dozen cookies. I will definitely make these again!

Dipped Coconut Shortbread

These were just OK. First, the dough did not want to come together. Then I realized i had to kneed it by hand for the butter in it to melt. Then I put it in the fridge to make it easier to handle - big mistake. It got really hard and even more difficult to handle. The final result just tasted OK. i don't think I'll make these again.

These cookies are OK - the recipe is off, though. I had to add more flour - about 1/4 cup. I love coffee taste, but i would reduce the coffee to 1 tbsp.

Cardamom Cookies

These cookies are excellent! Based on prior reviews, i doubled the cardamom, adn added more cinnamon. Also, instead of lemon, i used orange peel, and insted of milk, orange juice. I rolled the dough in a log, put it in the fridge for an hour, then sliced the cookies, and baked at 375 degrees for 8 minutes, and they came out pefect!

Blueberry Cheesecake

Very good cheesecake recipe. I baked it in a 7x11 dish, used only three eggs, and decorated it with blueberries and strawberries for a 4th of July theme. Definitely would make it again!

Very good recipe. Next time I would decrease the broth and couscous to 1 cup each, though - i thought there was a little too much of the couscous compared to the veggies.
