The Best Meatballs

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
Used half beef and half pork, along with Italian style breadcrumbs. Baked them before putting them into homemade spaghetti sauce for meatball hoagies. Delicious!

Spaghetti Sauce II

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
Delicious! I didn't use sausage, and just dumped everything else in the crockpot. Cooked it for several hours on low, and used it with a meatball recipe I found on the site. Yum!

Garlic Lover's Pizza Crust for the Bread Machine

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2008
very good - added lots of other seasonings (basil, oregano, etc). It was pretty sticky when removing from the bread machine, but we kept at it, and it turned out great.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2008
very tasty - don't think I cooked them quite long enough (or my oven was uneven) because a couple of them sunk in the middle, and one was pretty underdone. Thats what I get for being in a rush and not testing them when I took them out. :( But they tasted great!

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2008
these were popular at Easter dinner. I cubed them instead of slicing them, and cooked them in the crockpot on high for about 6 hours. They were good, but very watery - maybe should have taken the lid off for the last 30 minutes or so.

Amazing Whole Wheat Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2008
now that I reflect back, I think I may have forgotten 1 cup of whole wheat flour. That would explain why my dough was a sticky mess. :( I was in a hurry to get it all into the bread machine. I added some italian seasoning to the dough, and once it was out of the bread machine, I spread it out onto my Pampered Chef baking stone. Even though it was traumatically ugly, I baked it at 500 for 5 minutes, then added sauce (exquisite pizza sauce from this site), and sauteed ground turkey, hot turkey sausage, green peppers, onions, and mushrooms, and baked at 425 for 15 minutes. It was gooooood; the italian seasonings made the crust. Ugly, but good. Next time, I will get it right.

Sky High Yorkshire Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2008
good - satified my craving for yorkshire pudding, and my boyfriend, who dislikes all "bready" things, ate two. I should have added more salt, however, as they could have used it.

Tuna Noodle Casserole from Scratch

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2008
pretty good for a cold night - to make it healthier, I sprayed the pan with cooking spray, sauted the veggies in cooking spray as well. Added part of a red pepper that I had lying around, added an extra can of tuna, and added spices (thyme, ground red pepper, nutmeg) to the white sauce. Great for a night where I forgot to thaw the chicken I had planned to make! Next time I will plan smarter so that I don't have so many pots and pans to wash.

Slow Cooker Spicy Black-Eyed Peas

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2008
Average. We thought that it needed more seasoning, maybe more jalepeno. Totally turned out like soup, so we ate it over brown rice with hot sauce. I soaked the beans overnight, added a can of diced tomatoes (probably added to the watery-ness) and cooked on high for 6 hours.

Chicken Pot Pie Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2007
Excellent! I made this last night. Doubled the recipe, added a can of sliced potatoes (because I wasn't sure how long fresh potatoes would take to cook) and added a can of bisquick buscuits at the end - just cut them into quarters and dropped them on the top and let them cook through for about 10 minutes. Yum!

Grilled Onions

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2007
Awesome! My boyfriend and I made these two nights in row, they were sooooo good. We used beef bouillion granules instead of cubes, and only had room for half of the butter, which was plenty for us. The onions were perfectly cooked at 1 hour on the grill. Next time, we want to try some chopped garlic mixed with the butter. So good, and so easy!

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2007
Used only 1 lb of shrimp, but kept all of the other ingredients in the marinade the same, with the exception of the cayenne pepper, which I doubled. This shrimp was outstanding, with great flavor and a nice kick to it. Made it with grilled onions, from this site, and a grilled veggie medley.

Cooked for about 45 minutes, added cumin, ground red pepper, and garlic powder during cooking. Used more cilantro than called for. Very good - my boyfriend who was very leary of the beans at first ate three helpings.

Wonderful! I have never made prime rib before, and it turned out great. I used the recipe- amount of seasoning, with a 5.5 lb. rib roast. Cooked at 450 for 20 minutes, then 325 for about 1.5 hours. Perfect, perfect, perfect.

Horseradish Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2006
Awesome. I actually could have gone for a little more horseradish, but this was a hit. I made it on Christmas Eve for Christmas dinner, and it was all I could do not to eat it all with a spoon!! Went great with prime rib today - I will definitely be making this again and again.

Oven Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2006
These were good - I cooked them for about an hour at 325 while I cooked something else, and they were very forgiving to the temperature change. Easy to make, prepped them ahead of time, went great with Christmas dinner.
