David's Yellow Cake
Delicious! This cake was super easy to make and tastes great. I had no problem with texture or flavor. The 8 egg yolks worried me, but I followed the recipe exactly as written and was not disappointed. As others have stated, make sure you really cream the butter/sugar together (and it goes without saying, use REAL butter). Eggs/butter should be brought down to room temp naturally for best results (I throw them on the counter a couple of hours before I start baking). I used a hand-mixer for butter/sugar, then to add in the eggs/vanilla. Once it's super creamy, I then added the flour and milk (alternating, starting/ending with flour) and mixed it in by hand - not beaters. Don't overcook the cake (stab with fork, if a few crumbs come off on the fork, it's ready - if it comes out clean, probably overcooked, cook it less next time). This is going to be my go-to yellow cake from now on for sure! I love this cake.

Key Lime Pie I
I followed this recipe completely as written except the pie crust. I followed another reviewer's suggestions and used 1.5 cups graham crakers, 6 T butter, 1/4 cup sugar. The pie comes out very fluffy and has an awesome texture (if you like fluffy pies!) but is extremely tart!! I've never really had key lime pie before, so I don't know how tart it's supposed to be. Some other reviewers stated there wasn't enough filling for a 9" pie pan, but I guess with the thicker crust this isn't a problem because mine filled up to the top perfectly and did not overflow. I ended up baking it for about 16 minutes.

Chef John's Baked Eggs
Totally delicious! I used a glass pie dish, so definitely did not measure anything (did it based solely on looks based on his awesome video) and it fit about 3 eggs (although I wanted to use 4, my husband convinced me only 3). Also, my marinara sauce was a homemade version that was SUPER meaty (ton of ground beef and a little bit "spaghetti" squash). I omitted the heavy whipping cream and pepper since my husband has a sensitive stomach right now; although I think it could only make the dish better. Super tasty, will definitely make this again when I have more left over marinara sauce!!!
