I used a round loaf of sour dough bread and cut into cubes. It added great flavor and since the bread is more dense, was not mushy!

Slow Cooker Chicken Cordon Bleu

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2006
This was great for a rainy afternoon. I did double the stuffing, though as we like extra. I also put a final layer of swiss cheese on the top during the last 10 minutes of cooking. Extra cheese is always good.

This was very good! Made a slight adjustment though. To add a bit more flavor I used Jimmy Dean BOLD sausage instead of ground beef. It gave it a great zing to go with the sweetness of the creamed corn!

These were wonderful! I have a two suggestions, though. Get the smallest cucumbers you can; less seeds that way. Also, for a fun appetizer, serve on square wheat crackers. They are beautiful!
