Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2012
Tried them yesterday and they were light and fluffy. Next time I will try using half the vinegar for the sour milk. They did have a slight after taste as others have mentioned in their reviews.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
I've made this 3 times in the last two weeks! They are delicious and easy to make! I use my mixer with the dough hook and mix it on low until it combines then turn it up to med/low for 7-10 min. I let it rise covered in the microwave for 45 min. with a cup of hot water then I divide the dough to make 12 balls and place in buttered 13 x 9" pan. I reheat the cup of water in microwave. Cover rolls with plastic and place in microwave for 1 hr. Bake at 350 for 12-15 min. until golden. It make 12 large rolls but if making for guests maybe making 24 would be better. This is a must try recipe!

Extreme Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2011
I made it for our anniversary and everyone loved it! It was very good and very chocolaty. It was like a chocolate cake that you get a restaurant. The only thing I changed was that I used cake flour instead of all purpose to get a more tender crumb.

Made this last night and my son tells me it's one of the first 5 star recipes that really is 5 stars! It was really tasty, reminded me a bit like KFC without the high price! Making them into chicken nuggets was a suggestions made by the whole family, might try to do it that way next time.

Amazingly Easy Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2011
The family devoured the whole loaf last night. It was kind of like a giant biscuit. It was easy to make. I used a pastry blender to cut in the butter. I basted the loaf about every 15 minutes until all the buttermilk and butter mixture was gone. My only suggestion is not to make it too thick in the middle because it took about an hour to cook. Maybe 2- 2 1/2" high. I will definitely make again!

Glazed Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2011
Made it last night and the whole family loved it! I lined the pan with foil, which made cleaning a breeze. The sauce was watery, so I reduced it on the stove and then put it on the chicken before serving. The sauce might have been runny because I defrosted the chicken in the sauce. My idea was to marinate it before cooking. I served it with rice and the kids loved the sauce on the rice. This was an easy recipe to prepare.

Caramel Shortbread Squares

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
These are delicious and pretty easy to make. I made 1 1/2 recipes of the shortbread and used the same amout of caramel in a 9 x 13 in. pan. I didn't want too much caramel. Use a sheet of plastic wrap to help press the dough in the pan. I placed 6 broken "Hershey" bars on the hot caramel and waited for them to melt and spread with an ofset spatula. They taste like a "Twix" candy bar!

North Italian Meat Sauce (Ragu Bolognese)

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2010
This is a delicious sauce! I didn't have pork and opted out of the chicken livers. I used 1 lb. of ground beef. I added more tomatoe paste because I wanted more tomato flavor. I made this with the Gnocchi I recipe from this site and the family gave rave reviews. I will definitely make this again!
