About this Cook
Lets see. I'm a former rock star wanna be wild child who's now settled into the wonderful role of stay at home mom. I have 2 children and a third on the way. I'm a semi-crunchy mom. Family is important to me and I'm glad I'm building my own little family here.
My favorite things to cook
Slow cooker meals, pot roasts, various easy as hell recipes off of campbells soup cans, breakfast foods, and I love picking new recipes off this website to try out.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We're building them up every year. So far traditions are my deviled eggs (they don't last long here), knorr veggie soup packet spinach dip, candied sweet potatoes (pretty much my thanksgiving menu it seems), and my husbands fried rice.
My cooking triumphs
the day I winged it and came out with awesome pork adobo in the crock pot. Seems I'm figuring this cooking thing out and don't always have to follow recipes word for word.
My cooking tragedies
I used to dump flour into hot drippings trying to make gravy and could never figure out why I had these little dough balls. Now I know how to make gravy ha ha.

Playgroup Granola Bars
I found it to be a little too sweet for my liking. Seemed more of a dessert/cookie bar than what I was hoping for. That being said it wasn't bad at all. My kids enjoyed it. I think I will take some other reviewers advice and add less sugar and do some whole wheat flour to make it less sweet and a little healthier. I will definitely be making this again. Way cheaper than buying granola bars at the store.

Baked Potato Soup I
By following the directions exactly I found it to be too thick and slightly bland. However my teenage son and husband loved it. I made it for a second time tonight and cut the butter/flour in half, added some onion, and some extra seasoning and I found it to be more flavorful and the perfect consistency.

Kielbasa and Potato Bake
I made this to take to a potluck and had 3 people ask me for the recipe. It was good but I think it could be better with some cheese on top and perhaps some onion and bell pepper mixed in and more seasonings. Just my opinion. I made recipe as it is stated here. Diced potatoes small and came out completely cooked.
