Golden State Mushroom Soup

I JUST finished making this and am having my first bowl. It is delicious! I halved the onion because I've never really been a huge fan, added two larger-sized cloves of garlic, and used half Crimini, half white mushrooms. I used skim milk, low fat sour cream, a quarter of the butter it called for, and didn't have any Chicken boullion so I just added a bit more chicken broth. I made a double batch, and blended about a half of the soup after boiling to thicken it up. I felt it was missing a little something so I added about 2 cups of shredded lite mozza, and it is simply scrumptious! Will make again with my tweaking! :)

Suki's Spinach and Feta Pasta

I added a bit of shredded mozzarella I had in my fridge, cut way down on the onion, and probably added only about half the tomatoes, and some fresh basil to the end result. I omitted the red pepper flakes because I didn't have any and I didn't miss them at all. I will definitely make it again, it was delicious!

Grandma's Gingersnap Cookies

I loved these! I substituted all margarine for shortening, added 1 teaspoon of cloves as another reviewer said they did, but in my second batch I used only 1/2 a teaspoon, and cut back to 2.5 tsp ginger. I find the cinnamon sugar mixture for coating to be unnecessary. Just use sugar, otherwise it becomes too "spicy", and they lose their fresh, wonderful taste, and become almost "dirty" tasting.

these cookies are fudgy and chewy, but still a bit crunchy on the outsides. SO delicious, will be making these again. I followed the recipe exactly...it works!

Nougat Cookies

The batter ended up really dry so I added a splash of milk, and then it was moldable into the roll. I had a little fun and added twice the nougat, and the second batch I made was 1 cup sugar, and 1 square unsweetened bakers chocolate, made for a chocolatey-caramel flavour. The actual cookie is very much like a biscuit/cookie hybrid. My roommate claimed that "[I am] a cookie genius"

Black Bean and Corn Quesadillas

I found these to be overly sweet, and I didn't even add the sugar. Aside from the sweetness, they were quite tasty. I took them to a friend's potluck cut into wedges, and they were a hit.

Bodacious Brownies

I love these and make them all the time. I mix it up by adding random candy i have around the house. The one time I added Toblerone. It turned out DEVINE. Use the mini ones, and place them so there is approximately one in the middle of each brownie before baking them. So easy, but SO good!
