Soda Pretzels

Reviewed: May 19, 2013
I wasn't super impressed with this recipe. They tasted ok, but not really like pretzals, just tasted like a biscuit to me. I could have tried making mine a bit smaller and I might have had more success.

Soft Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
These are really good cookies! They were pretty much what I was expecting, except mine flattened out a little more than what I thought they'd be like. I added white chocolate chips. They stayed soft, and chewable, just the way I was hoping.

This is a fabulous recipe! The loaf is moist and tasty. I added vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg to give it a bit more flavour.

Stuffed Guinea Squash (Eggplant)

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2011
This is a really excellent recipe that tastes good and also looks very apetizing. I didn't use mushrooms, but added red peppers. I would maybe add a bit less bread crumbs next time. I will make this again. I also followed some advice from other reviewers and put the hollowed out shell in the oven for about 15 minutes while I was frying the eggplant to make sure it was softened.

Banana-Chip Oat Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2011
These worked out very well. I am eating them topped with cream cheese spread and it tastes great. I made a few changes, so It's hard for me to rate the recipe accurately: I added sliced apples instead of chocolate chips which added a nice sweet flavour. Also I used yogurt instead of applesauce because I didn't have any. I also added just a little bit of water because the consistency seemed a bit too thick to me(but this may have been because I didn't use the applesauce). The oatmeal amount is just right because it blends in well with the other ingreadients.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2011
This is a fantastic cookie recipe. Really delicious, they look apetizing, and they retained that really great softness that chocolate chip cookies should have. I used mayonaise in place of the eggs because I didnt have any, and also used all brown sugar instead of the mix of white and brown. Also I used baking margerine instead of butter. These were great, I can only imagine even better if i stuck exactly to the recipe.

This tastes delicious and is very easy to make! I recommend for anyone because the pastry part tastes great, and the brie and the other flavours mix together very well for a delightful appetizer.

Banana Loaf Cake I

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2011
This turned out as a really great banana bread recipe! I did mine in mini-loaf pans and I also added frozen cranberries to the mixture. It puffed up nicely, looks appetizing and also tastes really good. I didn't drizzle icing on mine, but I think that would be a really great touch to add a little more sweetness.

Chunky Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
This soup turned out great!! However, I did make a bunch of changes. I used some butternut squash instead of carrot, and added more. I left out celery and chicken broth. I started by frying up a few chopped up porkchops in oil with garlic powder, and the onion , and I added about a teaspoon of chili powder and a tsp of curry powder. I let that simmer together for a little while until the onions were brown, then I added about 2-3 cups of water. The rest was the same except that I added some salt, pepper and some dried cilantro. Also for flavour I added some sweet chili sauce which just gave it the right amount of pep. So delicous, thick, and just right!!! Also served it with biscuits.
