Oatmeal Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip Cookies
These cookies were okay. They were a bit on the bland side for me--I couldn't really taste the peanut butter. I personally prefer oatmeal cookies to be chewy, and while these had a nice moist, soft texture (closer to cake-like than oatmeal-cookie-like), I won't be making them again. If you just love peanut butter cookies, you might enjoy them.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
I made a half batch and, other than omitting the nuts, followed the recipe exactly. These cookies were insanely delicious...perfectly moist, chewy, and flavorful. I did think they were a bit heavy on the salt (and I used unsalted butter), but I *like* being able to taste a bit of salt in most cookies. If you don't, you could probably halve the amount and be okay. I feel a bit sheepish...I wanted to wait a few days so I could include the cookies' longevity in my review. As I said, I made a half batch, and it was just for my husband and me, and, well...the cookies didn't last more than a few hours in our home. Whoops! :)

Carrot Cupcakes with White Chocolate Cream Cheese Icing
The cupcake itself was just okay. I did love the frosting though! I used half the amount of sugar as the frosting recipe calls for. Based on other reviews, I made a half batch of the frosting, but found that I didn't have enough! I used a piping bag, so maybe the amount of frosting is proportioned for that? Or maybe I'm just some sort of frosting fiend :)
