I'm a military brat who still works with with the military - Coast Guard aviation. Love to travel, I live in the Caribbean but cook less now that I'm single again and in the heat all the time. Breads, anything chocolate, truffles (but I don't eat them, I just bake them!), cheesecake (this I do eat!), soups. Thanksgiving. It's the one holiday we ALWAYS manage to get home for - no matter what. An annual Chocolate and Chamagne party. I make a mean meatloaf, even my kids and their friends love it. However, if I don't pay attention to the consistancy when I'm mixing it, sometimes I don't add enough eggs and end up with what they call "Alpo loaf". Tasty - but we need to use a spoon.
