Baked Macaroni and Cheese

This hit the spot on a cold Maine winter night. What I did differently: added 1 tsp mustard powder, 1/2 tsp salt and several dashes paprika to the liquid mixture, in addition to the cheddar cheese, I added about a 1/2 cup shredded Colby Jack cheese. I also heated up the milk, cheese, egg, butter mixture whisking it constantly until it all melted and poured it on the lightly cooked pasta and finished it off with some seasoned bread crumbs. Yum!

Quick Chicken and Dumplings

This was great! I've never made chicken and dumplings and this recipe was very easy. I doubled the recipe and added a can of cream of chicken and a can of cream of mushroom. I used fresh baby carrots and celery. It's a perfect comfort food on those cold winter evenings!

Steff's Shepherd Pie

Good! I added some seasoned salt to the ground beef because other reviews said it was bland and I used canned peas instead of green beans. I didn't have enough cheddar cheese on hand so I shredded some smoked Gouda. YUMMMY!!! I think this is a perfect recipe that can be changed up or left alone. Either way, it's good for a busy night when you don't have a lot of time to cook.

Easy Pumpkin Chip Cookies

I read some of the reviews and cut the recipe in half as others suggested. These were so delicious. I've made them a few times and people just love them as do I. The changes I made were: olive oil instead of vegetable oil, I added a little pumpkin pie spice along with the cinnamon and organic raw sugar instead of white sugar. Yum. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

Famous Butter Chicken

HAULBUR, Thank you so much for sharing this recipe!! I made this recently mainly because I didn't have a lot of time nor did I have many ingredients to work with. Wow! So tasty and moist. It seemed like it would be bland so I added: fresh, crushed garlic with the butter, No Salt seasoning and some Hungarian hot paprika. This will be one of our go to recipes for sure.

Pork Ribs Piquant

This was really good. I made the sauce without the worcestershire sauce as I didn't have any. I added some chili garlic sauce to add some kick. It came out terrific! I will make this again. Thanks for sharing!

Tanya's Boneless Short Ribs

This is delicious. Thank you for sharing. What I did different: I used about 8 ounces (because that's all I had left) of garlic & onion jarred tomato sauce, about 1.5 cups of V-8, 1 tsp molasses, omitted the ground clove, 2 tbs chopped parsley, added more cinnamon and gave it 4 healthy squirts of Sriracha instead of hot sauce. Came out great. Yummy.

White Chili with Ground Turkey

This is a keeper! I didn't add the cumin or cayenne pepper because I didn't have either. Also i used mozzerella cheese instead. I added chili powder and red pepper flakes for lots of spice. My husband and I loved it. The flavor was perfect. Thank you for sharing.

Cream Cheese Penguins

I made these for my work Holiday Gathering. They were definitely a point of interest amongst the other goodies. I had people asking me all day about them. I mixed in a little garlic salt to the cream cheese for flavor.

Asparagus Cashew Rice Pilaf

We had this today for Easter Dinner. It was very good. I like the flavors together. the only issue I had is that was a little greasy and softened the cashews a little too much fo rmy tastes. I would probably cut back on the butter a little bit.

Stuffed Peppers

This was my first time making stuffed peppers. Instead of onion powder, I sauteed about a 1/2 cup chopped onion in a little olive oil, drained the oil, then added the beef. I also added about 2 tbs of grated parmesan cheese to the rice/beef mixture. I didn't have worcestershire sauce so I thought the saltiness from the cheese would help. I sprinkled some cheese & bread crumbs with some sauce on top before baking. I guess I am used to my mom's stuffed peppers...the mixture was flavorful and moist but I like the "juice" at the bottom of the pan. These didn't have that. Maybe I did something wrong? I will add more pureed tomato next time. Otherwise these were so good!

Cream Cheese Kolacky

The cookies are so good! I've been making these for a few years usually at holiday time. But they are delicous year round. I've used boysenberry, raspberry and apricot jam. All work well. Also I cut mine with a round cookie cutter, fill them with jam and then close them around the edges with a fork....they kind of look like pierogi's. This is how my Poloish friend taught me to make them. Make a large batch, they go fast!

Chicken Taquitos

Awesome!! I baked these instead of frying and brushed some olive oil on them. I also used bottled, fire roasted green salsa from my local market, Wegman's. The smoked cheddar was a perfect addition. I served them with guacamole, sour cream and mild salsa. Yum-O! I will serve these again for sure.

Apple Enchilada Dessert

This was very good. I took the advice of the other reviews and cut down the brown sugar to 1/3 cup but kept the white sugar at about the same. I also added a few dashes of nutmeg and 1 tsp of real vanilla. I cut up 2 granny smith apples, steamed them in the mic and added a little sugar, then added to the canned apple filling. We served it warm with vanilla ice cream. Everyone really like this. It's a keeper and tastes great for breakfast. ;)

Zesty Coleslaw

Really good. I used apple cider vinegar b/c that's all I had and it was fine. I also used a little less mayo than what the recipe called for then added 1 1/2 tsp of water. It worked out...but next time I'll be sure to have more mayo on hand!
