Easy Almond Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2006
Somewhat bland for my taste. I made it again however with a few simple alterations. It came out better but I'm not done playing with it just yet. I added chicken bouillon instead of soup, and used cream of mushroom soup. I also added more garlic and used red pepper flakes and a little cinnamon. My grandma liked it this way, and she hates all seasonings except butter and salt, but my husband and I think it needs more tweeking. I will make again because I really think this is a good base recipe. The toasted almonds add a flavor to chicken that we all agreed is very nice. Good recipe, just needs more umph.

Mozzarella Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2006
Absolutely wonderful!! The chicken was so juicy and so tender you could cut it with your fork. The flavors were great. Nothing overpowered anything else and it added just enough flavor as to not overpower the chicken as well. My husband, who doesn't care much for chicken, my grandmother, who only likes it fried, and myself, who doesn't care much for celery, all decided we have a new favorite! It's simple and quick to prepare, and turns out perfect. Great job and thank you for posting it!

Mashed Potatoes with Fried Mushroom, Bacon, and Onion

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2006
I stuffed green and red peppers with these potatoes after cooking and microwaved until peppers are tender (3-4 min.) for a different spin on potatoes. I also omitted the mushrooms for my husband. They were a hit! Great recipe. The flavor was wonderful and the consistency was perfect! My family has already asked to have them again. I think we have a new favorite!

Baked Soy Lemon Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2006
Way too salty for my taste. I used low-sodium soy sauce and only marinated for 2 hrs. It was very juicy and tender though. Probably will do again though, my husband loved it. He loves salty foods and thought this was great.

Simple and tasty. Used this on fillets and it was great. Not too much flavor, but just enough. We'll do this again!

Yuma Dip Sandwiches

My husband and I thought was great! It's even good warmed up. I thought the Thousand Island and the Velveeta topping would be odd, but it's great! We will definatly have this again.

Yummiest Green Beans Ever

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2006
I didn't have the problem with the sauce not sticking to the beans. It is a bit overpowering though. Served with soy/garlic marinated chops. Thought it would complement them, but the flavor of the beans just took over. They are flavorful though, and will try to find something to better serve them with.

Green Chili Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2006
This was pretty good. I gave it 4 out of 5 because it seemed to kind of bland without some additions since we all like a lot of flavor. I did add taco seasoning to the beef, sauted the onions, and added some garlic and black olives. We topped it with all the usual taco toppings and it turned out real well. All in all a good recipe. We'll definatly have again with the additions!

Italian-Style Shredded Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2006
I thought this was pretty good. I served it sliced instead of shredded-no buns-and my family loved it. I was told to definatly keep the recipe. The leftovers were even eaten and I can't get them to eat leftovers for nothing!

Military S.O.S. Feasty Style

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2005
My family has been eating this for years! We hadn't used beef or the boulion before though. It makes a great dish even better. My grandaddy was in Korea in communications on the line and had this on leaves. He liked it so much that we started having it at home once a week. He use to say it was the only good thing about the war! Thanks for making this favorite even better!

Sweet Mustard Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2005
Great flavor! I, as others, cut the butter. I used 1/4C. Promise as I'm cooking for my grandmother who was recently released from the hospital with heart failure. We now eat a lot of chicken, so I'm always looking for something new. Even my husband liked this and he's not big on chicken! We'll definately have this again!

Best Hamburger Ever

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2005
The name is absolutely perfect! This was the tastiest, juicy, moist burger I've ever had! I used 1/4C. dried onion instead of fresh (didn't have one), and changed nothing else. I love garlic, but don't like too much onion and still thought it was perfect. Didn't think the onion was too strong at all, and loved the flavor combo of the herbs. I also never had a problem with them falling apart as some others mentioned. I used a George Foreman grill and had no problems. They may have tasted more like meatloaf than hamburgers, but that's because most hamburgers are too dull! My husband and I each had 2 and my grandmother had a whole one instead of maybe half as is usual. They are great! We will definately be having these again soon-Bravo!!
