Rich Chocolate Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2008
This is almost exactly my family recipe except that Great Grannys' calls for 1/2tsp. vanilla and 1/2tsp. almond extract and no frosting. This has been used by 4 generations of my family now and not one has ever changed anything! I make 6 batches every other week-one for my husband and one each for 5 neighbors. Everybody loves them and just can't get enough! This is one of a few things I am basically "required" to bring to get-togethers! Wonderful recipe!

Golden Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
GREAT!! My husband loves pork chops and thought this was one of the better recipes I've tried. We've had it many times and like it the way it is. Some times I've added thyme, basil, parsley, oregano and rosemary and it's still wonderful! Definitely a keeper!

Apple Butter Pork Loin

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
The only thing I've ever done with this recipe is to double the sauce-it's wonderful! It smells great in the oven and it's so tender and moist! The sauce is so good we've used it on chicken and added chopped pecans with the same wonderful taste outcome! Wonderful job!!

Maple Glazed Pork Loin

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
This is sooo good! One of VERY few "sweet" pork recipes my husband likes. We have this often and I've never changed a thing! (I normally end up doing that at some point.) My husband decided that since I like scented candles that someone should make one with the smell of this in the oven-I agree!! GREAT recipe! Thanks for a family favorite.

Honey Mustard BBQ Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
These were pretty good. During the winter we put these in the crock pot on low for about 8hrs. They aren't our favorite, but are a nice change every one in a while. My husband isn't real big on sweet pork recipes so we don't have it often, but he does like this with boneless chops shredded into pasta.

Pecan Dijon Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
YUMMY! Made exactly as written and loved it! When my grandma was still alive this was one of her favorites so I made this a lot. I've never even altered it in any way like I eventually do with most recipes! So moist and flavorful it doesn't need any changes!

Aimee's Quick Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
Wondeful! I've made this a LOT and really like it the way it's written, but also with variations. Sometimes, time permitting, I marinate the breasts overnight in teriyaki mixed with brown sugar, then coat with the mustard, top with mozzarella and bacon bits and bake. Another good variation is to coat with mustard, wrap with bacon strips, pour on teriyaki, top with cheese then bake. Any way you assemble it, it's great! Even my chicken-hating husband likes this one, so I don't have to make seperate meals like usual when I want chicken! Thanks so much for a "keeper" recipe!

Swiss Chicken Casserole I

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
Great! My husband wasn't thrilled, but he doesn't care for chicken. I thought it was really good. The chicken was so moist even after reheating in the microwave the next day for lunch! Great flavor and so easy to put together! It's something I can throw together for myself and make something different for him without a lot of extra work. I normally do this when I want chicken and it usually takes so much extra time that I don't do it too often. I'll definitely be making this for myself many times to come though! Thanks for a great recipe that allows me to curb chicken cravings at a moments notice!

Pizza Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
I have made this so many times now and it's always a hit! I do add mushrooms but otherwise don't change a thing. This is one of my husbands favorite meals, and I love that it's quick. Thanks for a wonderful recipe that has become a family favorite!

Mexican Pizza II

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
We thought this was just great! All I did different since I didn't have a pan big enough for two pizzas was to just layer them on top of each other with more filling in between. We topped these with salsa and sour cream and they were sooo good! It really hit the spot! My husband has even said we should add this to our regular meals. Thanks for a great recipe!

Sausage Gravy I

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
We've been using this recipe for many generations now and it comes out perfect every time. We also like to top fried pork chops with it. If you can put gravy on it, this one goes with it! It's our all-purpose gravy. Even my northern in-laws who don't eat much gravy, let alone real gravy, love this one!

Extreme Banana Nut Bread 'EBNB'

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
Made as is and it's wonderful!! Even my Banana-nut-bread-hating husband ate half the loaf! We'll be using this recipe from now on. Of course, I'll have to hide some of it now from my husband so I get some! HaHa! Thanks for a great recipe!

That's-a Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
WOW!!! THE best meatloaf we've ever had! I think I'm married to the only man on earth who thrives on beef everything but doesn't like meatloaf. He curled his lip when I told him what was for supper last night, but he ended up having thirds! He even said he wanted meatloaf sandwiches for lunch today and had two! Amazing! Normally he thinks meatloaves are too plain and boring even with tons of seasoning, but he absolutely LOVED this one! Thank you so very much for giving me back my beloved meatloaf suppers I've missed for so long now! He even wants to try it again with dried beef instead of ham next time and told me to "definitely keep this recipe handy"! GREAT job!!!!

Chili Dog Casserole I

My husband just loved this! Toasting the bread seemed to work quite well as it wasn't soppy at all. Chili dogs have always been a favorite of my husbands and mine so we were just thrilled with this recipe! Thank you so very much for a new favorite! :)

Italian Meatball Sandwich Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2007
GREAT! I didn't have soggy bread, but mine was a day old as another said. We all just loved it and have added it to our regular menu. I've been out of marinara a time or two since I always make my own and those times subed 1 can tomato paste and 1 can pizza sauce and it still turned out great!

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2007
Wonderful! We have this often and the only variation I've tried is using corn tortillas instead of flour from time to time. Both are great! Everytime I make this my husband has seconds or thirds! Thanks for a new regular!

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2007
THE BEST! My husband just loves fudge and said how great it was. I've made it with and without nuts since my husband is a "purist" and doesn't like anything in his fudge, and both were wonderful! I followed the recipe exactly as written and didn't have any problems. This is so much easier and faster than traditional fudge like I'm used to making! Now I'll be making fudge more often! Thanks for the recipe!

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2007
PERFECT!!! My husband has never been much of a ginger cookie fan, but he ate these before they were even cooled! I had to make more before I even got any! SO soft and chewy! I coat mine with Baker's sugar-the finer grain-and they're great! I now keep the container full. These definitely beat out the big, soft store-bought varieties! Thanks for a wonderful recipe!

Russian Tea Cakes I

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2007
The best recipe for these childhood memories I've found! These have always been a favorite of my moms so I made them last Christmas and again for her after we lost my grandma this year. I'm now taking them again for Christmas! There's no need for change, these are great! Thanks so much for giving these back to us! :)
