Traditional Lamb Stew

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2010
Very hearty and nice flavor. Two out of four people couldn't tell it was lamb. Seems to need a little something to make it really sing. I'll keep making it to find out what.

Healthy Turkey Loaf

Next time I will add more salt, pepper, and salsa. This definitely had the potential to be great, and I'm going to keep trying it.

Chococonut Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2011
Fantastic! I was worried that there was too much flour when I was mixing, but they cooked up perfect. Maybe next time I'll use choconut extract instead of the vanilla. Mmmmm, choconut and chocolate are the best.

Coconut Macaroon Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
Pretty good. A little too sweet for my taste, but everyone else loved them. Mine didn't cut like pictured either. The center kinda integrated with everything else in a sticky sweet goo (a delicious goo according to my friends), so presentation was rough. Still good, will make again.

Tar Heel Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2011
Fantastic. Everyone liked it, even the coconut haters said it was great. I used another reviewer's crust recipe cut in half (so it was 1/2 cup butter, 1/4 cup powdered sugar, and 1 cup flour) for a single 9 in pie.

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
Fantastic frosting. I also halved the recipe to cover a double layer 9in round cake. I accidentally used the 1/3 measuring cup instead of the 1/4 when measuring out the coco powder (so I basically used 1-2/3 cups instead of 1-1/4), and honestly it was still great. I think I'll keep it that way the next time I make it.

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2010
I've made this a few times now and it always goes over great! I pound my chicken a little with a mallet to make sure it comes out tender. works like a charm.

Tofu 'Ricotta'

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2013
This is fantastic! My husband and dairy-aficionado brother loved it. Both agreed that they wouldn't have noticed it wasn't real ricotta if I hadn't told them.

Chocolate Brittle Surprise

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2011
Wow, these were surprisingly great. And they are so versatile. I made some with white chocolate and almonds and put a little cinnamon in the butter sugar mixture. The were delicious as x-mas treats

Onesy-Twosy Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
Best peanut butter cookies ever! I have gotten so many requests for these. I omit the peanuts (because I don't have any in my pantry) and they are still fantastic.

Slow Cooker Carnitas

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2010
These were so great. I add black pepper to the seasoning mix, but they are great as it. I also didn't have 10 hours to cook, so I put them in the slow cooker on high for 5 hours instead. Shredded perfectly and tasted moist and delicious.

Cabbage Fat-Burning Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2011
great flavor, and after entering the recipe in to a calorie counter it came out to be about 100 calories. I would suggest adding a little hot sauce or Worcestershire just to liven it up a bit.

Rugelach

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
Delicious. I made these exactly as directed (and tried a batch with apricot jam also great and easier to stick the filling to the dough) and they were fantastic. Mine left a fairly large grease slick on the bottom of the cookie sheet, so I had to remove them right away to cool on wire racks. I think I didn't get the butter and cream cheese cut small enough before adding the other ingredients. Didn't effect the flavor or presentation though.

Jam Filled Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2010
I've made these about a dozen times and I love them. I do fiddle with the recipe (I add vanilla and a pinch of salt), but they deserve a perfect score just for being a great starting point for a simple cookie.

Cream Puffs

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2010
I get so many requests for these its crazy! I add 1 tbs of sugar to the flour mix before stirring it into the boiling water and butter when I'm making these for dessert. I also always make my puffs a little smaller so they are a two bite treat.

Caramel Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2010
Great flavor. I did use significantly less powdered sugar to get the consistency I wanted. Also the cooking time seems a little optimistic to me. It took me a long time to completely dissolve the sugar. Still I will use this again.

Soft, Moist and Gooey Cinnamon Buns

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
Really good! my bread machine went a little crazy and didn't mix everything properly so it didn't rise perfectly, but the flavor was still great. I'm going to do it again in my brother's machine to see if it turns out even better.

Easy Granola Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2011
Not a huge fan of the flavor. They need something salty to balance the sweetness of the condensed milk. If I make these again I'll use some kind of salted nut. I would have given 3 stars, but +1 for being easy and flexible.
