Marshmallow Fondant

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2011
I doubted it, but I shouldn't have. It worked a dream. Made an ever so lovely covering for my cake. I will be using this one again!

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2011
This was scrumptious! I confess I made it according to the changes suggested in the "most helpful" comment, all except for the added pineapple, and it was gorgeous! A very moist, flavorful cake! I sent it to work with my hubby and received tons of wonderful comments back telling me what an amazing baker I am. Hahahha! Gotta love recipes that make you out to be fabulous!

Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2011
I tried this twice, both on special occasions and both times I thought it would turn out better than it did. The cake is very dense, which I suppose is good for some, but I like mine light and fluffy. So I guess I'll just keep looking. This is not the white cake for me!

German Chocolate Cake Frosting II

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2011
This was fairly good. Make sure you chop up the pecans good enough. Otherwise it will be hard to spread. Overall the look was spot on, but the taste seemed a little lacking in something. Haven't figured out yet what, but I think I'll keep looking for a better version.

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2011
Beyond yummy. The only sauce I've used for years now. Even freezes well if you make a large batch. I always cut the honey in half because I like it a tad less sweet.

Yes, it's sweet....but that's the way my family likes it. My hubby begs for this cornbread. Definitely a keeper recipe.

Breadsticks with Parmesan Butter

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2010
So incredibly soft and warm and delicious! I made a few batches of breadsticks before I decided that this recipe would make really great baps as well. So of course I tried it and am SUPER pleased with the results. Yummy soft and delicious rolls! These freeze really well. Personally, when I make baps I let them cool completely, then slice them and freeze them in ziploc bags. Pulling them out one at a time whenever I want a bacon bap. PERFECT!!!

BLT Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2010
Yummy! This went over a treat at our summer BBQ. Note to those making this in the UK.....use more mayo and a tad less soured cream. UK soured cream is rather runny compared to the US version, so your dip will be too liquidy if made according to the directions listed. Alternately, you could stir in some cream cheese in order to thicken in up a bit. That's what I did. I also added sliced spring (green) onions, and am considering adding a touch of kale to the next batch. Very good dip! My father in law decided he wanted this as a spread in his ham sandwiches instead of just plain mayo. I have to admit, that would be a great way to jazz up a plain ham sammy. :)

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

I made this with bacon instead of ham. I also threw in some carrots. Loved it! Heated up very nice the next day as well.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2010
My husband wouldn't stop raving about these. In fact, he went out and bought more bananas the next day and pursuaded me to bake up another batch. I've also baked this up in a loaf tin with great results. I let it cool, slice it, put it into a ziploc bag and pop it in the freezer. I love taking a slice or two out for a tasty breakfast in the mornings. The frozen slices defrost and heat up nicely with just a quick zap in the microwave. Although the topping on these really are what make them so special, I always add a tsp of vanilla to the batter.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2010
Oh my! These are fab! I halved these because it's just me and my hubby. Recipe halved perfectly. I made exactly as listed (except using less flour, as about half cup of that wasn't needed) I made four pretzels and the rest of the dough I cut up into bite sized chunks which I cooked on a separate tray. Oh, the heaven of one of those little pretzel bites popped into my mouth straight out of the oven! I think next time I'll add just a touch more sugar to try to mimic the sweetness of the mall pretzel a bit more....but overall, what a delicious recipe! I will for sure be making this again. Only next time, I won't be halving the recipe....I'll make the whole thing and bake up a ton more of those yummy pretzel bites!

Amazing Italian Lemon Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2010
Ugh. This was a disaster, and a sad waste of ingredients. The sauce was a miserable, oily, seperated and unedible disaster. I ended up having to toss it out and quickly whip up a white cheese sauce in order to save the rest of the dish. (goodbye to an entire package of butter....)

Italian Style Sausage

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2010
This was just ok. I didn't hate it, but I won't be using it again. There's a few, much better Italian sausage recipes out there. Maybe I just like it spicier than most, but I wasn't impressed.

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2010
These were fab! Like most people, I used cumin and ciliantro in place of the oregano, but everything else was the same. Well, ok....I used a whole lime....hahaha. do yourself a favor and quarter some on-the-vine cherry tomatoes for the topping! The taste of these tacos were seriously delicious. I just made them tonight and am already considering making them again tomorrow. Yummmmeeee!
