Asian Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2014
I know I'm a horrible person, I rated this recipe a 5 because I know it is superb! However... I did use sambal oelek instead of siracha and I used hoisin sauce instead of the sweet chili sauce. I also added about 4 drops of pure sesame oil just because I love the flavor.Otherwise, I am so thankful to have found this recipe because I was at a loss for what to do with my split chicken breasts that I was able to purchase for $.99 a lb

Wasabi Mayonnaise Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2014
I was expecting this to be hotter! I used 1 Tbls powder to 1 tsp water and mixed into paste, I did have to add about 2 more drops of water. Added the mayo and topped off my salmon burgers! Like I said, I thought it would be hotter so I only put it on one side of the bun. Surprise, surprise, I added it to both sides and it was delish!

Poochie Meat Cakes

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2014
My husband is an avid hunter so I made these with a ground goose and venison mixture. everything else was the same. I baked them in mini muffin pans per someone elses' comment. My Jack Russell baby LOVES them! the next time I did add about 1 cup of flour , spread them out very thin on a jelly roll pan and made little snack crackers for treats.

Refried Beans Without the Refry

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2014
I have been making this recipe now for approx 6 years! It is so good I haven't bought refried beans since. I make the full batch and freeze them in containers big enough for may family. I use an immersion blender for half then add the rest before freezing. excellent recipe. thank you!

Fresh Guacamole

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2014
I usually dont rate a recipe if I dont follow it exactly, but... since the only thing I substituted was sambal oelek for the hot sauce and the serrano pepper I still think I was pretty close to the original. this guac was fantastic!

Curried Cauliflower Leek Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2012
I made this recipe the first time as the recipe states,I tasted it without the cream because I was hoping to get an awessome result without all the fat. the cream totally enhances this soup. the next time I made this soup I just used it as a base, I know this is a whole other recipe but seriously... you should try it adding 1/2 tsp paprika 1 tsp curry and about 1/4 to 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes. after I pureed the cauliflower I added frozen zucchini, summer squash and carrot medly. It was sooo good!I think I will puree it all together next time because I really like the cream soup texture. the rating I gave is for the original recipe. I just thought I would mention the changes I made in case someone else was looking to spice it up a little.

This was sooo easy! I've made it twice so far, alternating the second time with hommade canned bing cherries. We all loved it with vanilla ice cream.

Apple Butter Pork Loin chops

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2011
I'm not a big fan of fruit and meat combos but this was very good. There were several comments about the cooking time. The recipe does call for pork loin roasts not tenderloins, so therefore the cooking time was perfect for very tender and delicious roast!
