Felix K.'s 'Don't even try to say these aren't the best you've ever eaten, because they are' Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2014
These are really great cookies when prepared as instructed..except maybe cool on cookie sheet for 10 minutes instead of 20 and use a little less vanilla. Excellent.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2014
Awesome cookie. This is THE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE. I use 1 1/2 cup DARK brown sugar and 1/2 cup of white for a less crispy texture..I also use less chocolate chips..about 1 1/4 cup but that's just a personal preference..underbake and let cool on cookie sheet for 5 minutes..then cool on the cooling rack the rest of the way. Good. Flavorful. Love these cookies!

Toffee Crunch Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2014
Really good cookie.. I usually replace 1/4 of the sugar with white sugar to help make slightly crispy edges..also used only about half of the toffee bits and that was plenty for me. Good recipe.

Whipping Cream Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2014
This was a very good cake. I was looking for something a little lighter than my very good, but really dense 7-up cake. This cake was a little lighter and fluffier. For the butter lovers out there, this recipe is very similar to the one on the back of the Swans Down cake flour box. That recipe uses 3 sticks of butter with the other ingredient proportions the same, except for the extracts. I assume that that would add richness. I used 3 cups sifted cake flour 1/2cup of BP to add lift..1/2 teaspoon each of almond and lemon extract..and 3 teaspoons of vanilla extract. I also put cake in cold oven and set temp to 300..(this helps create the sugary crust) cooked for 1hr 20 min in my bundt pan.Yummy.

Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2011
This chicken was great. I suggest that youincrease the seasoning and season every layer..I washed and seasoned the chicken..then i dredged in seasoned flour..then egg wash..then cracker/flour mix. I couldnt find dried potato flakes so I left that out. Made this with waffles..kids and husband loved it. By the way, I would suggest buying thiny sliced chicken breasts and still pounding them down to make them thinner. I will put this recipe in the keepers file.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2011
These are the best brownies that I have tried from this site and I like them because they are more chocolatey than even the recipes that call for chocolate squares and chocolate chips. They are also extremely quick and easy. I followed the directions exactly execpt I made a double batch and did not use a mixer to incorporate the flour and cocoa powder. Instead I just mixed by hand..only 50 strokes or less. Dont overmix, and like others have said, don't overbake. I would have given it 5 stars if I could somehow get that crust on top that I get with the boxed stuff. Thanks so much for the recipe Angie.

Amazing Pecan Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2011
Very Very Tasty. The only modifications that I made was that I added a teaspoon of almond extract and reduced the sugar in the bater portion to 1 1/4 instead of using 1 1/2. I also doubled the topping and added two tablespoons of flour to it(this was suggested by a previous reviewer) so that it would not sink into the cake. I will be making this again to bring in to work. Thanks for a great recipe.

Oven Baked Garlic and Parmesan Fries

Really good. Loved these with Seasoned turkey Burgers also from this site. I modified them dramatically by using frozen fries, but I used all of the seasonings and the oil and cheese..Same concept.Very good outcome.

Seasoned Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: May 30, 2011
These were really good. My family loved them. I just felt like they were missing some depth. Maybe I'm just comparing them too closely with ground beef. Overall very good. I paired them with oven baked parmesan fries from this site which are also very good.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 30, 2011
Very good. My fam devoured these. My husband says they taste like Mrs. Fields cookies. I followed someones suggestion and added extra vanilla. I think he also calls for the addition of 2 teaspoons of baking soda or baking powder (whichever one is not in the recipe. These were good additions. The key is to NOT overbake. Right before you think theyre ready, take them out. All you are looking for is a cooked appeareance around the edges.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: May 30, 2011
I'm still on a mission to perfect these muffins. The first time I made them..bland and burnt(the burnt part was my fault). The second time I used muffin liners, buttermilk substitute(milk and lemon juice) and added 1/2 tsp. of lemon extract. The result was much better but I don't want a lemony muffin:just a flavorful blueberry one. I'll keep trying because the texture is great and they're pretty. I just can't get the taste right.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies IV

Reviewed: May 30, 2011
I just made a batch of these. My 4 year old who "doesn't like oatmeal cookies, just chocolate chip" has become a believer!! came back twice. My two year old is whining for another one as we speak. They are very yummy. Perfect. The only modifications that I made was that I added 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon of all spice. Otherwise excellent recipe!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: May 19, 2011
These were very good. I did put the dough in the freezer for 30 minutes. I'm not sure if this made much of a difference or not. The next time I make these I will use only half the chocolate chips..1/2 cup of semisweet and 1/2 cup of milk chocolate. Watch them closely in the oven. As soon as the sides look cooked, take them out. Would have given the recipe 5 stars if they stayed chewy, but they don't. these are best straight out of the oven.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: May 16, 2011
Yummy! These were great. I made them on mothers day. So perfect with the alterations other reviewers suggested such as the oil swap and the added spices. The crumb topping doesn't work for me. Thinking of an alternative such as a brown sugar or banana glaze.
