Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2012
This was very good. I followed the recipe exactly and was very tasty. I surrounded the pork loin with halved red potatoes and those got rave reviews. I think next time I make this I will add some crushed garlic to the marinade though. It could have used just a little something else. Maybe some herbs too. All in all though, it's certainly a keeper!

Monkey Banana Jam

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2011
I made 1/3 of the recipe as a test run. It was delicious. I used all the sugar and will cut back on it next time. I also added some cinnamon and nutmeg like some other suggested. I look forward to having some brown bananas again soon so I can make a full batch of this jam. It is so good with peanut butter on toast! Great recipe!

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: May 11, 2011
This was my first attempt at making fudge and this recipe came out amazing! While I waited for it to set, I read through some reviews and was nervous as I used margarine in place of the butter and used fat free evaporated milk. Neither of these effected the recipe though - contrary to other reviews. The fudge was super creamy and set up perfectly. A new batch will be needed very soon!

Thai-Style Peanut Sauce with Honey

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
This is a great peanut sauce. I followed the recipe at first, just cutting back on the olive oil to 1 tbsp. After tasting, the flavor was great, but I wanted a thicker consistency. For those that are complaining about this being thin, simply stir in more peanut butter a teaspoon at a time until the desired consistency is reached. Quick, easy, and very tasty!

Guinness® Corned Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
Perfect and easy! Only thing I did was to not rack the corned beef. I put it right in the roasting pan with the beer. I pushed the cooking time back to 3 hours, 15 min. (only because we weren't ready to eat yet). The meat was fork tender and the carrots were so tasty! This one will be back before next St. Patty's day!

Cheese Straws

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2011
These were pretty tasty after I added a few other things. I put in 1/2 tsp of garlic powder, 1/2 tsp of onion powder, and some crushed oregano. Not sure what I did differently, but I needed to bake them for about 12-14 minutes, turning once, before they firmed up nicely and were ready to take out. Mine stayed nice and straw-like. Make sure your dough is nice and stiff when you start rolling and they should keep their form.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2011
We loved it! It's nice recipe to add to as well. I added more kiwis, tossed in some blueberries for color, and a pear just because I had one sitting there looking at me. For the chips, I tried what some other reviewers suggested, spraying both sides of the tortillas and dredging them in the cinnamon/sugar, but those came out a little sticky and chewy. Just doing one side came out perfect and crispy. All in all, a great recipe, perfect for kids, crowds, or anyone!

'Day Before Payday' Kielbasa and Corn Hash

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2011
Wow! Quick, easy, cheap, and delicious. I used Turkey Smoked Sausage and a bag of frozen "Western" vegetables (red pepper, green pepper, corn & onions) to make it one step even easier. I cooked the batch in two large skillets to brown things easier and keep it from being too moist. Other than that, followed the recipe and it was great. Over easy egg on top really finishes it perfectly.

Thai Ginger Chicken (Gai Pad King)

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2011
I thought this was a great ginger chicken recipe. The only change I made was to double both the fish sauce and the oyster sauce after giving it a taste test. Other than that, it was spot on and the family loved it!

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
This recipe was great! We love garlic, so I added a bit more. My wife said it tasted like garlic bread and said she would eat this cauliflower every night! Thanks for a great, easy recipe!
