Smothered Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2014
I couldn't give it 5 star's because I didn't follow the instructions and made the following changes. I did like others suggested and cooked in reverse. I also cut up my bacon prior to cooking, then added my red onion when that was starting to get soft I added my brown sugar, cooked for a couple minutes then added my mushrooms (we love mushrooms) cooked until well caramelized. Pulled and hold warm. Added about a tablespoon of both butter & olive oil to fry my chicken. When it was almost done (about 5 minutes) I added back my bacon, onion and mushrooms. Just prior to plating topped we cheese, popped under broiler to melt cheese. P'S don't be shy with the lemon pepper! Super yummy!!

Grilled Bacon Jalapeno Wraps

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2013
We do a variation of these, I mixed the five blend shredded cheese about a cup, in with the cream cheese. Then instead of grilling them, we put them in the smoker for about 1 hour and 15 minutes or until the bacon has crisped and the peppers have a burnished appearance and a smoky aroma.. we tried the smoker since we were also making smoked, stuffed bacon wrapped hamburgers.

Ann's Shrimp Etouffee

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2012
Well like a few others I of course had to cut the recipe down & make some changes. I cut it down to a pound of shrimp (5/6 servings). I used chicken broth & white wine instead of water (a little over a cup). I also seasoned the shrimp in some old bay prior to cooking. I also did some other things to the sauce.. I used "Tony Chachere's Creole seasoning" (instead of salt) along with the paprika, a couple dashes of Whorcestershire sauce, I also added a chopped tomato for some flavor and color. With a few changes I would give this 5 star & I will keep it and make it again!!

Men Love This Steak

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2012
Made this for dinner tonight, it was very good and I will make it again. I did do a few changes based on what others said. First was I marinated the steak with Whiskey-Marinade (from this site). I also used Feta cheese with fresh chopped basil, instead of the blue cheese. With the mushrooms and red bell pepper I also added red onion and garlic. Also made more sauce for the veggies.

Happy Shrimp

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2012
This is a great dish!! I added mushroom (as we love mushrooms) along with the green onions and garlic. I also doubled the sauce as others said. I also added a extra tomatoe,a bit more garlic and I seasoned my shrimp in old bay and garlic powder before cooking them. I have made this dish a couple of times and it will stay in my recipe box!!

Sausage Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2012
This was great!! I did add mushrooms when I added the onion. Also like others said, I reduced it a little longer so it wasn't soupy. But over all, a great dish and I will make again.

Leftover Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2011
I have made this a few times now... I use the basic idea but always change it up a bit due to what I have on hand. This evening I made it with some leftover smoked turkey, mushrooms, onion and of course garlic. Very easy to make it to fit your families taste.
