Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2008
Easy and delicious! Used 2C sharp cheddar goat cheese and 3 eggs, 2 egg whites. Held up very well without a crust.

White Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2008
Good when you don't have many ingredients in your house. I used all butter and beat that mixture awhile before adding milk.

Tomato Pork Loin Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2007
The sauce was tasty but the pork was very bland. I won't make this again.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2006
This is about as good as Apple Crisp gets! I followed others' advice and used 2/3C white sugar, no water, and chopped the apples. With fall apples (Mutsu - yum!), it was great.

Cream of Fresh Asparagus Soup II

Reviewed: May 22, 2006
Great, but a little salty. I'll just omit the salt next time, the chicken broth is sufficient. I also saved the asparagus tips and threw them in mid-way with some leeks. Will definitely make this again, thanks!

Eggless Butter Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2005
The cake cooked through, unlike some others' experiences, but it tasted terrible. It has a very odd aftertaste, and frosting didn't help mask it. I'm glad I made another batter just in case.

Rich Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2005
To this recipe, I added an extra egg, 1.5 tsp baking powder (it needs to rise somehow!) and a little extra liquid - a touch of milk, a touch of water. It did rise, though it is a little bland; mind you, if you frost it, it will be yummy - what isn't? Good basic cake, especially if you have limited ingredients and feel comfortable tweaking it a little.

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2005
could use more meringue. also was pretty tart, which can be good, but if you're serving someone w/a sweet tooth, consider upping the sugar.

Rolled Fondant

I was surprised how simple this was to make. Used corn syrup and the recommended 3 TB cold water and the consistency was fine. Really great, will be fun to play with!

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2005
I followed suggestions and used only 2 tsp salt (definitely doesn't need more than that). I also followed suggestions and decreased heat, but thought the full amount of cayenne and jalapanos was warranted. Very delicious, will make again.

Used all fresh ingredients, WAY less butter, changed from feta to blue cheese, and used a mashed potato crust. Great base recipe for quiche!
