Honey-Ginger Grilled Salmon

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2013
This is best on the bbq but in a pinch you can put it in the oven and it is still good. We bake it at 400 for 10-15 minutes depending on the size and thickness.

I would reduce the salt personally, but that is just me. Otherwise super flavorful as is!

Connie's Zucchini "Crab" Cakes

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2013
I followed MANDT2 suggestion of oiling a baking sheet and baking them at 400 for 15 minutes on each side and they came out super yummy. Hubby and I ate them with diced tomatoes on top. My picky son liked them too an added bonus!

Kale and Quinoa Salad

Hubby and I loved this salad. My kids still won't eat kale, but I consider it a huge success when there is a recipe that makes it good enough for my husband. Thanks

I served this for a BBQ party recently and everyone commented on how good the chicken tasted. I used thighs and legs.

Chile Garlic BBQ Salmon

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2012
We made this with a salmon my husband caught this week. It went over so well. We eat salmon all the time because of my husbands fishing obsession and this is one of the better recipes that we have found.

Sweet and Sour Greens

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2011
This was very yummy. My husband loved it and he can be pretty picky. I have been growing collard greens in my garden this year so we have tried quite a few recipes and my favorite are the ones that have a little sweet sour or bacon... this is the best of both worlds.

Pecan Breaded Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2011
I have made this twice now and the trick is too blend the four, pecans, and salt in a food processor. The pecans get coated perfectly in the flour and the nuts stay on the chicken much more than chopping the pecans and mixing them by had later. Otherwise the recipe is amazing and my entire family loves it

Sweet and Tangy Sauteed Collard Greens

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2011
My husband and I both like the recipe especially the dressing, but I will say that I don't think I cooked the greens enough as they were still hard to chew (be warned). I also used about 1/2 the butter, just because of the fat involved.

The Perfect Mai Tai

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2011
This was exactly what we were looking for. One thing that may help some (especially in the pocketbook area) is to make your own almond syrup. After striking out at several stores I I checked the ingredients in the vanilla syrup and then made my own. The vanilla syrups said that they only had vanilla extract, water and sugar... heck I can make that for a almond flavored syrup. I just doubled my batch that I made for my simple syrup and added almond extract. I made it kind of weak given the recipe, but the taste is the same, and it is way cheaper than a bottle of syrup.

So yummy. I ruined my diet on these cupcakes that I made for my daughters birthday. I was searching for a recipe that would taste great and be easy to decorate with. This was perfect.

Cajun Crawfish and Shrimp Etouffe

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2011
This was a great recipe, but my friend has one that is better (he won't share). His has cream in it and I may try to add it to this next time I crave Etouffe to see the result.

Fresh Semolina and Egg Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2011
This was my first homemade pasta. Everyone greedily ate my pasta up with only a clam/butter/garlic sauce on it. It definitely is harder than regular pasta, but so worth the work.

Zippy Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: May 12, 2011
This was a great recipe. I was a little intimidated with the jalapeño so I used an anaheim pepper, but my husband who hates cucumbers loved this because of all the flavors that it has. Next time I am going to sear some tuna and serve this as the side.
