Baked Potato Soup I

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2011
i didn't quite have everything (no green onions or cheddar cheese), but it was still really good :) I really liked this and how easy it really was! The hubby, who doesn't really like potato soup, and is SUPER picky even ate some, and asked for more. Thanks so much!

Old Fashioned Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2011
I made one small cake and 12 cupcakes from this recipe. Cup/Cake did turn out dense, even though I followed others' suggestions for the baking powder to flour ratio. We tried the cupcakes without frosting at first, and it was good, but just dense, and sort of dry. I made a frosting, 3/4 stick butter to enough powdered sugar, until the thickness was what I wanted. And that made the cup/cake much better. The cinnamon was AMAZING. :)

Black Halloween Punch

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2010
This was great stuff. My son liked it the most, but the rest of the family was sort of too busy to try it. From the people that did, they said it was good. Instead of all water for the "3qts cold water" I used 1qt peach flavored water for more fizz. Turned out great! Makes a lot!

fantastic! The sugar added just a hint of sweet that really worked with the soup! I doubled it, but i shouldnt have. The amount made here would have been perfect. Loved it, thank you. Ill be making these more often. :)

Slow Cooker Lasagna II

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2011
It works for a crock pot version of lasagna. I think it was a bit bland, and if and when I do it again, it needs some garlic added to the cheese mix, and some oregano, maybe basil. Also, I never seem to have enough cheese mix once I start layering, I don't know if its just me, or what. I would have doubled that part. Also, I DON'T recommend going with a cheap jar of sauce. Get something good.

Breakfast Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2011
The recipe was SUPER easy! And quick! My only complaint was that they were not sweet enough. That was the comment from both my husband and my son, too. We used 1/2 cup peaches and 1/2 cup strawberries, and that was great, but the muffins themselves weren't that sweet. Also, I added 1/4 tsp of pumpkin pie spice (because I had run out of cinnamon!) and that was a good idea. Next time, I'll add cinnamon instead, but I'm fearful of how much sugar to add, and what I would need to balance it with, so the recipe turns out with the same fluffiness! Overall, great recipe!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2013
Hubby is a picky eater, but liked this okay. I used boneless, skinless chicken breasts and followed the instructions for the recipe, only baking about 45 mins instead of the full hour. It was good, but just didn't wow us. Great for a go-to meal, if you have the time to baste the chicken every 10 minutes like the recipe calls for. If not, I would either marinate the chicken in this sauce over night, and pour over the chicken and cover it with aluminum foil while baking, or skip this recipe altogether.
