Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2014
Thought this would be a fun and easy twist on regular jar spaghetti. It was not. I made changes as others suggested, tomato paste, oregano, red pepper flakes, etc. Surprisingly it was bland and not something I will make again.

Wow! I was looking for something to make with what I had on hand and this was amazing. I grilled it outside and used a small tenderloin I had. Next time I will make with tzatki sauce. This is a keeper.

Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2013
Very good with the following recommendations by another reviewer. Instead of the soups used 1 jar of Heinz chicken gravy. Cooked beef with 2 cloves of garlic & added cheese to the top of the casserole dish before putting it in the oven. yum, yum.

Slow Cooker Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2013
Sauce was good but too thin. Served over rice and it was like a soup. Did cook on low rather then high and the meat was cooked fine. Probably will not make this again.

Fresh Tomato Salsa

Reviewed: May 19, 2012
good basic recipe. You wouldn't want to use all those peppers. One was enough for us and you want to deseed it first. For something extra put 1 or 2 chipotle peppers in too!

Made this in the food processor. All dry ingredients first, mixed, then added water and oil thru tube. So easy. Let rise two hours on counter under damp cloth cuz I had time. Also switched olive oil for vegetable.

Homemade Tomato Sauce I

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2011
We had a great tomato crop this year & made sauce from scratch for the first time. This recipe was great. We used the crockpot to simmer for 4 hours. Cooked on the stove for 30min then transferred to the crockpot. Used 20 small to medium tomatoes. I also pureed all of the veggies for a smooth sauce. Used an open bottle of merlot for the wine, 1/8 cup dried basil instead of fresh. and as someone else suggested at the 2 hour mark added 1 tspn salt, 1/2 tspn pepper, oregano and thyme. We will be making this again. Thank you.

Fun and delicious cake. 32oz of cookies is basically one normal package of oreo cookies. I used gummy worms in our cake.
