Hot Clam Dip I

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2003
I've made this recipe many times and I love it. The only change I make is to add 1/2 teaspoon of garlic salt or 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder if I don't want the additional salt. Thanks for your recipe!

Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast Sandwich

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2004
I put this concoction in a flour tortilla, rolled up like a Chimichangas and grilled it on the griddle to melt the cheese. It was so good. Hubby dipped his in salsa.

Mississippi Mud Cake I

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2004
I make this cake whenever we have guests. I add about 1/2 cup of pecans to the icing also. Make sure you have some vanilla ice cream on hand because some people need the ice cream to cut the richness of this cake.

Cholesterol King Heart Stopper 2000

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2004
This is definitely our kind of sandwich. I made it on hoagies so the kid wouldn't feel like he had to share. He is great about sharing except when it comes to food.

Simple Country Ribs

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2003
These were GREAT! I did just like the recipe except I sprinkled my favorite spices over them just before grilling that way you for sure get the spice taste. I used K.C. Masterpiece, Hickory flavored BBQ sauce. Thanks for the recipe!

Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2006
On step 3 I neglected to instruct to add the pasta with bacon, tomatoes, etc. then toss. My grocery store has since started carrying grape tomatoes, I use them now because the salad will stay even fresher with uncut tomatoes by adding the grape tomatoes whole IF there is any left over.

Classic Stuffed Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2006
This is just excellent! The recipe makes a ton so what didn't go into the turkey I put in muffin pans because I like the crispiness all around with the moist inner.

Best Spanish Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2007
I make this when I am in a pinch for time instead of my regular recipe that is much more time consuming. Last night I added a cup of frozen corn and sometimes I will add a can of drained and rinsed black beans. This is really good for how easy it is!

Doreen's Superbowl Sandwiches

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2004
We really enjoyed this sandwich. I had to use crescent roll dough because that is all I had. I added some roasted green chili peppers and used 1 cup of sharp cheddar with 1 cup of Monterey Jack. This sandwich is full of flavor and very filling. Thanks Doreen!

Peanut Butter Drops

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2004
These are very good. I had to use my candy thermometer so I would know when it reached softball stage because I am above 7000 feet. Water begins to boil at a lower temperature up here. They turned out great!

These were a huge hit for my football snacks. I followed the recipe exactly with the exception I didn't use 2 cups of butter, probably about 2/3 cup.

Baked Scallops

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2003
Excellent! I did make a few adjustments to suit my fams taste. Added 1 teaspoon of garlic salt to melted butter plus 1 tablespoon Sauterne wine and 1/4 cup shallots(use 'em or loose 'em thing). Decreased onion and garlic powders to 1/2 teaspoon, omitted garlic cloves, used Panko bread crumbs with Parmesan/Ramano. The first time I made scallops, the kid didn't like them at all, this time he ate all of his and some of mine! Thanks so much for sharing your talent!

Cream of Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2007
This was very tasty! I used green onions, used garlic salt instead of regular salt, and pureed about 1/2 of the soup once it was done. I don't usually cook on Friday evenings but this was so easy and quick that I am glad I cooked! Great with a grilled cheese sandwich!

Very good. I did leave out the vinegar, I just don't like vinegar, and added about 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder.
