Savory Garlic Marinated Steaks

We love cooking on the grill and needed a new recipe for steak. We weren't disappointed, but have to agree with the other reviewers that you shouldn't marinate in this longer than overnight. Due to a change in plans (impromptu dinner out with family!), we left it in for 1-1/2 days! Although it was still tasty, the vinegar did get a little overpowering. but that was our mistake, no fault of the recipe. We will definitely try this again, maybe this time with a tri-tip! OH, and definitely try this steak with some red wine. After my initial taste bud shock over the vinegar, I took a sip of wine (a box brand, no less! No fancy wine) and WOW, the flavors really came out! Delish.

Smashed Cauliflower

The adults liked the flavor/texture; the kids did not. They wouldn't touch it after one bit. But they're kids, so we take their critique with a grain of salt! Definitely use the blender on this one to get it to the right consistency.

Honey Walnut Shrimp

Just what I wanted! Took others' advice and first dipped the shrimp in the egg white, then tossed it in the rice flour before frying. Kept the oil really hot so it browned quickly and stayed crispy. I doubled the sauce recipe but it was really too much. Next time - since I know there will be a next time! - I'll stick with the amount called for.

Foolproof Rib Roast

The name says it all. Foolproof! We now use this recipe at least once a month. Our 2 year old twins, who are picky about meat, gobble it up.

Great recipe, esp. for serving a big group! I used Simply Potatoes fresh shredded hash browns, and crumbled bacon, and mixed cheese (cheddar & monterey).
