Shredded Chicken Tacos

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2011
This was amazing. I Made as is but cooked everything together in the crockpot on low for about 6 hours. Just poured in the spices which were store brand not adobo and the sauce and 4 large boneless skinless chicken breast. I shredded and added a little hot sauce to taste at the end. I served these on keiser rolls with rice on the side! Can not wait to make again!

Garlic Mashed Red Potatoes

Reviewed: May 30, 2011
These were great! I have never boiled garlic in the pot with the potatoes before but now I always will. I made this as is and will not change a thing. After boiling my potatoes (no matter what kind) I always drian them in a collander and cover them with a dish towel for a few mins. The steam really helps keep them moist and if your adding any spices i.e. salt, pepper, onion or garlic powder do that as they sit and steam and it helps absorb a lot of the spice. Thanks for sharing a simple but delish recipe!

Chicken Julienne

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2011
This is a pretty good recipe. Im giving it 4 stars based on the orginal directions. I did cook the sauce seperate to be sure this would be something my family would eat and i did have to modify after tasting. I brown the chicken in a pan first then added the cream and some cheese. Its very heavy on the cream taste and not much else. I added a little melted butter, chopped sweet onion, garlic, and 2 tablespoons chicken stock and that helped get rid of the milk taste. I also used some garlic powder and onion powder on the chicken with salt and pepper and seasoned the flour. will make this again but too heavy for weekly rotation. Very glad I tried this, Thank you snowgirl9!

Bacon Wrapped Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2011
This was amazing! I made very minor changes like I did not have a whole 1/2 cup milk so i made up the difference with heavy cream and I cooked the bacon a little before baking and i seasoned the chicken with some extra garlic and onion powder along with the salt and pepper. I also took the suggestions of adding a slice of provolone with the cream cheese. The sauce is to die for and so simple. Chicken was a little work but after the first bite it was totally worth it! Served over bow tie pasta since i did not have any egg noodles. This will be on the weekly menue.

Pork Tenderloin Diane

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2011
If you enjoy a tangy sauce then this is for you. I followed the recipe as written and after the sauce was done i tasted it and it was a tad bit too sour for me. So I added a little chicken broth as a few others had suggested and 1 chicken boullon cube. This balenced out the tang and just a table spoon of heavy cream to thicken it up because we prefer a thicker sauce. I also used the drippings from the resting plate and let the chops sit the pan with the sauce on low while i finished up my side dishes just so they could absorb some of the sauce. This is a pretty good recipe if your in mood for something different. Will be making it again!

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
First off i do not think that people should rate a recipe because of authenticity. You rate on how well you think the taste is! This is a wonderful recipe that you can use as is or add as much or as little spice/filling as you want. I added real garlic and seasoned some chicken breast that i baked before shredding which gave it added flavor! Thank you for a wonderful starter recipe .

Pasta Carbonara

Amazing! I made this sauce as is and it was great. Last minute aftter muliple ah hem...taste testing lol I added one can of chopped mushrooms. A great sauce to try and then add on to. For everryone that said this was bland well your supposed to spice it up to your liking. I think i added way more garlic than called for but thats just me other than that this is a must try! There are so many possibilities with this sauce!

Rich Chocolate Truffle Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2010
This was amazing! I just did a test run of this pie ( I will be taking it to the Bf's parents house for thanksgiving) and it was great. VERY rich but we loved it. My second pie I am going to try milk chocolate chip. Adding a little extra cream to the whipped cream was great too, added more fluff to the filling. Will be making this for christmas too.
