Crab Crusted Grouper

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2014
The crab topping was amazing. Just not a grouper person. Next time will use on a different type of fish. Excellent recipe.

Grilled Citrus Tuna

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2014
As written, there was little flavor to the marinade so I rated ok. Next time, as suggested, I'll reduce the oil and increase marinade time. One adjustment due to allergies was to use papaya juice instead of orange. Pan fried ~5 mins each side. Definitely cook down marinade. I also added GF soy sauce and brown mustard. After adjustments, awesome! Served with kale. Thanks for the recipe.

Spicy Black Bean Cakes

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2013
Mmm-mmm-good! Didn't give 5 stars b/c I adjusted. Halved the recipe. Skipped bread crumbs (g/f plus it didn't need 'em) and the sauce (time factor). Added ground turmeric. Fried on top the stove. De-lish! Excellent recipe.

O...M...G!!! 3 simple ingredients - who knew? I know ppl hate it when altered recipes are reviewed but I have allergies OK! I used butter with freshly cracked salt and nuts. O...M...G!!! This is too addictive.

Bean Soup With Kale

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2011
Really good basic soup. Kept it vegan. Added chick peas but will play around with black-eyed and cannellini. Even with homemade veggie stock, it tasted good. Nice way to start the fall season.

Channa Masala (Chickpea Curry)

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2011
Another hit. Used a dry pre-mix of curry spices and canned diced tomatoes. I'm convinced that the curry mix makes it. Also used tapioca flour instead of rice and 1/2 inch of ginger. Not as tomato-y as I'm used too but that'll be fixed next time with addition of tomato paste.

Curried Hummus

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2011
Def depends on the type of curry you use. My curry mix has about 10 ingredients but OMGGGGG, this was amazing. I used freshly cooked dried chick peas (major corn allergy so can't do too much canned stuff) and it was fine. No more store bought for me. This is a keeper. Thx Jean.

Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2010
Da Bomb!!! Made 'em gluten-, corn-, and dairy-free using no salt, almond milk (unsweetened), vanilla, 2 c. tapioca flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar, and 1/3 c. tapioca starch. Kept everything else the same. Absolutely awesome!!!

Quick and Easy Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
OMG...these brownies were amazing. Definitely decrease the flour to 1 c. if you're not a cake brownie lover. I used GF flour. Used 1 1/2 c. granulated with 1/2 c. brown sugar for the 2 c. of sugar. Next time I'll decrease the total sugar to 1 3/4 c. It was a little too sweet for me. Also used 1/2 c. oil and 1/2 c. butter and increased the cocoa to 2/3 c. Increased baking time to 40-45 mins. Thanks to everyone for their suggestions.
