Newport Clam Chowder
Fantastic recipe! Everyone raved about how great this soup came out - I followed the directions, but also doubled the potatoes to two pounds (I like the pieces cut a little smaller), and added some chopped bacon to the onion/flower mixture before mixing. I also went heavy on the dill, since we love dill. I went to college in Newport and haven't been able to find clam chowder that tastes so "Newporty" since! Thank you so much for sharing, will absolutley make again.

Tres Leches Cake
Mmmmm this cake was so yummy!! I used granulated sugar and it worked fine (rather than confectioner's). However, when you whip the cream, you need to add some vanilla and a few teaspoons of confectioner's sugar to make it sweet. I followed this recipe, but checked the reviews, and added the milk mixture to the cake when it came out of the oven. Everyone was so impressed! I made this for Valentine's Day (we had tacos for dinner) and topped with chopped strawberries. Delicious! Thanks again for sharing!

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup
This soup was amazing!! All the reviews were right -- this soup was perfect on a nice cold and gray kind of day. Like most others, I added some garlic, celery and carrots for a little flavor, and a little white wine in the chicken broth. I was worried that I didn't have enough liquid after adding all of these things, but once I added the cream mixture, it didn't matter! The soup was actually pretty good without the cream mix, but wow was it good after adding. Went to the bakery for sourdough bread bowls to serve the soup was so good and comforting. Thanks for the great recipe, I will DEF be making this a lot more during the winter.
