Mom of 3 grown sons, oldest 2 are married, each with a child, light of our lives: 2 grandbabies!!
Married for 25 years.
My favorite things to cook
My husband is part Italian so spaghetti & lasagne have been a theme in our lives. I mostly only baked growing up and still enjoy baking the most.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Grandma Girlie would make pallilies (like Native American frybread)and beans. The pallilies would puff up and us grandkids (she had 40) would tear off a corner, stuff beans in, eat, and go back for more.
My cooking triumphs
Helped my mom make 3 large wedding cakes for family & friends. We stopped after that, it was stressful transporting then "babysitting" the cake until it got cut.
My cooking tragedies
I'm always "killing" meat by overcooking it. And lets not forget all the burnt french bread and sourdough loaves. I have a special talent of smelling the bread & remembering to get it out just AFTER it turns black.
