This recipe is absolutely delicious! I LOVE IT! The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I don't think it would have been as amazing if I had followed the recipe exactly as it was written. The layering in the recipe is just a little off. I layered mine as follows: half of the ziti, half of the sauce, provolone, sour cream, rest of the ziti, mozzarella, rest of the sauce, Parmesan. That 1st layer of ziti really needs the sauce on top of it. Also, I love onion, but if you're not huge on onion, I would recommend using half of an onion. I added some garlic, salt, and pepper as I was browning the meat as well. For the sauce I used a traditional spaghetti sauce and added my own spices (basil, parsley, fennel seed, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper). I used a 4 quart 10x13 inch pan, and it fit perfectly, so I recommend using a deep pan. Also, make sure you cover the ziti as it cooks to keep it moist. With the changes I made this recipe is fantastic! Definitely a keeper! Can't wait to make this for my boyfriend :)
