Grandma's Chicken Chardon

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
Delicious! My hubby, who has been a chef for 20 yrs, said it's the best dinner he's had in a long time! I did take the advice of others & double the butter mixture. I also added fresh garlic & a little minced onion to it. Great!

Sour Cream Coffee Cake III

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2011
I followed the recipe exactly. The cake is good...but not what I was expecting. It's a cross between a butter cake & a coffee cake. It's very moist...almost a little too moist.

Breaded Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2010
Awesome recipe! I never thought I'd love brussels sprouts! Now I do. I made them twice. The first time I followed the recipe exactly. The second time, I cut the brussels sprouts before tossing them in the butter & adding the bread crumb mixture. This way they absorbed more of the butter & yummy bread crumb flavoring.

It was good. I think next time I'll use white wine instead of the chicken broth

Blueberry Coffee Cake II

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2012
Absolutely delcious! After reading the reviews, I made just a few changes: I used 1 cup of sugar in the cake batter. I also added approx 1/3 c sour cream & 1 tsp vanilla extract. I also used brown sugar in the topping instead of white. This cake is so good! I can't wait for my hubby to come home & try some....that is, if there's any left!!!

Lemon-Butter Snow Peas

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2011
My husband bought so many snow peas. I think I've made them once & had no idea how to prepare them. They were delicious made this way! I followed the recipe exactly, except I steamed the snow peas instead of using the microwave. I can't wait to make these again. Thanks!

Very good...but next time I will cut the almond extract in half. It was a little too much & left an aftertaste.

Tender Italian Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2011
I am making this chicken for the 4th time tonight. It's so easy & so moist and delicious. My 10 month old & 3 yr old both love it too! I added about 1 tbsp italian dressing to the mayo...besides that, I followed the recipe exactly.

Chicken Breasts with Lime Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2011
The sauce is scrumptious! I dipped my chicken in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs, browned it in the olive oil then trasferred it to a cookie sheet & baked it in the oven on 350 for 20 min. I used 2 limes, 1/2 the amount of butter & some chicken broth when making the sauce, as suggested by others. I will definately make this dish again! Thanks!

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2012
I've made this twice so far & the whole family loves it! My 3 yr old daughter is super picky & she asked for seconds! I used to make a similar recipe using butter instead of olive oil...but this recipe is healthier & much tastier! We'll be eating this once a week for sure! Thanks!

Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2011
This recipe deserves 10 stars!!! I followed it almost exactly....the only changes I made was that I lightly floured the chicken thighs before browning them & I added an extra clove of garlic & a little crushed red pepper. I will never order chinese food again...this is far better than any chinese takeout!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2011
I took the advice of others & used some additional seasoning such as paprika, poultry seasoning & pepper. I also added fresh parsley & garlic & used 1/2 chicken broth & 1/2 water. I only used one package of biscuits. It took almost 2 hrs for the dumplings to cook. It was delicious! I served it over peas. The leftovers were even better the next night. I mixed in the peas, placed everything in a pyrex dish, topped with the 2nd package of biscuits & baked on 350 for 30 minutes. Thanks for the recipe! I will be making this again!

Slow Cooker Enchiladas

Delicious & so easy to make. I used 1.5 lbs ground turkey & also doubled up on the corn tortillas, as suggested by others. I cooked it on high in the crock pot for close to 1.5 hrs...it came out perfect! Next time, I may add some black beans & jalepeno peppers.

Olive Chicken II

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2011
Very good! I took the advice of others and added some seasoning...just a little oregano & basil. I also floured the chicken before I browned it & used a can of diced tomatoes since I didn't have any fresh ones. I served it over brown rice. It was very tasty. I will definately make this again...but try it in the crock pot. Thanks for the recipe. I love green olives!
