Whole Wheat Oat Waffles

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2014
I made these this morning because my 5 year old daughter asked if we could have waffles for breakfast. I used 1 cup white whole wheat flour & 1/2 cup oat flour (just because I didn't feel like making more oat flour & that's what I had on hand). Absolutely delicious! Hopefully, they freeze well bc I plan on freezing a few for a quick breakfast on school mornings...I can just pop them in the toaster oven! Thanks for sharing!

Rosemary Roasted Turkey

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2012
Absolutely incredible! I made a 7.5 lb turkey breast to bring to a friends house for Easter dinner. I followed the recipe exactly....but just cut it in half. It was the best turkey ever! Everyone raved about it! It was so juicy & so full of flavor! I will always prepare it this way from now on! Thanks!

Company Cauliflower

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2012
Absolutely delicious! I only had 1 head of cauliflower, so I cut the recipe in half. I cooked a little chopped onion along with the cauliflower. I used a mixture of sour cream & ranch dressing; added a few slices of american cheese along with the cheddar & increased the butter a bit. We couldn't stop eating it! Even my picky 3 year old loved it! Thanks!

Asian Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2012
Amazing! I followed the recipe almost exactly. I added a little extra garlic & omitted the green onions since I didn't have any (which it would have been even better with them, I'm sure!) We gobbled it up! It's a million times better than any chinese takout!

Blueberry Coffee Cake II

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2012
Absolutely delcious! After reading the reviews, I made just a few changes: I used 1 cup of sugar in the cake batter. I also added approx 1/3 c sour cream & 1 tsp vanilla extract. I also used brown sugar in the topping instead of white. This cake is so good! I can't wait for my hubby to come home & try some....that is, if there's any left!!!

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Delcious! I floured the chicken, as suggested by others. I also doubled the sauce and blanched broccoli, which I added at the very end. I served it over brown rice. I can't wait to make this again! Thanks so much!

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2012
I've made this twice so far & the whole family loves it! My 3 yr old daughter is super picky & she asked for seconds! I used to make a similar recipe using butter instead of olive oil...but this recipe is healthier & much tastier! We'll be eating this once a week for sure! Thanks!

Spanish Rice Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2011
I make a similar dish, but this recipe is definately better. I used ground turkey & sauteed the onions with it & added seasoned salt & chilli powder. I then added a large can of diced tomatoes, a jar of salsa & the remaining ingredients. I omitted the chili sauce & brown sugar, as suggested by others. I also used brown rice. This definately took longer. I had to simmer everything for about 1 hr. I transferred it to a baking dish & topped with lots of cheddar cheese & green onion. We can't wait to have the leftovers tomorrow night! I am going to use it for taco salads! Thanks for the recipe!

Cheddar Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2011
Delicious & so easy to make! I didn't have any rice krispies, so I used crushed up townhouse crackers instead. I also added a little oregano, basil & thyme to the cheese/breadcrumb mixture. I used cooking spray on the bottom of the pan, but still drizzled the butter on top. Mine came out perfect after 40 minutes. I can't wait to eat the last piece leftover for lunch tomorrow!

Slow Cooker Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2011
I loved the idea of making apple crisp in the crock pot, however, the topping didn't get very hard. It also was a little too sweet for me. I will try making it again...but next time I will cut back on the sugar & bake it in the oven. Thanks for the recipe.

Shoyu Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2011
Awesome recipe! I skinned the chicken thighs, marinated them or 4 hours, baked them in the oven on 400 degrees for 20 minutes, then finished them on the grill. I boiled the marinade, as suggested by others. I used half the marinade to baste the chicken & the other half as a sauce for the stir fried snow peas I served on the side. I can't wait to make this again. Thanks!

Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken

This recipe deserves 10 stars!!! I followed it almost exactly....the only changes I made was that I lightly floured the chicken thighs before browning them & I added an extra clove of garlic & a little crushed red pepper. I will never order chinese food again...this is far better than any chinese takeout!
