Broccoli, Rice, Cheese, and Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2015
Pretty good. I think I'll add some mushrooms next time to change the flavor a bit. I have my mom's chicken and broccoli casserole recipe and this was very close to those flavors just with rice added.

Simple Hamburger Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2015
Absolutely delicious! We all love this recipe, even friends raved about it. I usually cut the sour cream, soup and cream cheese in half as others suggested if I'm making one batch. I do the full recipe as written if I'm making it for a big crowd, I just add a second bag of egg noodles and it's perfect!

Slow-Cooker Lasagne

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2015
I found it to be rather dry and bland. With some more sauce and flavor it could probably be good.

Sunday Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2015
Absolutely delicious! Everybody raves about these rolls. I haven't used them rolled as croissants yet but have done cinnamon monkey bread and regular balled dinner rolls and everyone loves them! If I'm looking for a more savory taste I just omit some of the sugar. It would take spices or other flavorings well. One of the batches I put cinnamon and maple syrup right in it for monkey bread. I usually add a little bit more flour while it's in the bread machine just so it's not quite as sticky when it's done rising.

Buttermilk Pancakes II

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2015
This has been my go to recipe for a few years now. It's delicious, the kids love it. I always whip up a few batches and freeze what's left from breakfast so the kids can have pancakes from the toaster on school mornings if they want. My mother in law asked me for this recipe!

Hearty Chicken and Rice Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2015
Needs a little something extra... I did add some additional herbs and spices. My husband wants egg noodles with it next time instead of rice but overall it was good!

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2015
Loved it! I forgot taco sauce at the store and used a jar of salsa in place of diced tomatoes. It was delicious! I made it in 2 deep dish pie plates and still had 3 tortillas leftover. I think next time I'll double layer the tortillas in between the layers. I might also do this in a casserole dish instead of the pie plates. Either way my husband and I loved it! The kids weren't so keen on it, more for us!

Festival Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2015
Excellent! I doubled the sauce and froze half of it for another night. My husband raved about the sauce! Can't wait to try this on pork too. I did add a can of chunk pineapple as another reviewer suggested. I may do crushed at some point, although the pineapple chunks were very yummy too!

Applesauce Cornbread

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2013
I left this in the oven for an additional 15 minutes on top of the said cooking time and it still was not cooked all the way through. I thought we'd try it anyway and cut off the part that wasn't done. This recipe was not appealing at all, it had a very funky taste and none of us could even finish our first bite. I compared this to my usual trusty cornbread recipe and discovered that this one has four times the amount of baking soda. I will be altering my usual recipe to accommodate the apple sauce and will not be attempting this one again.

Slow Cooker Cranberry Pork Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2012
I just made this recipe for the first time today. I saw this recipe and loved it and wanted to try, only to find after getting it going that it had such negative reviews but decided to go with it anyway. I followed the recipe to a T with the exception of adding some pepper and it was excellent! :) My husband and I LOVED it and our daughter did as well. It was tender (falling apart) and FULL of flavor. I used the jellied sauce like the recipe says. When I do pork roasts I tend to poke the meat all over with a fork before putting it in...this may be why mine had a lot of flavor as opposed to the others who tried it. All in all - excellent! Paired with some oven roasted potatoes, delicious! :)
