About Me
Let your Love Light shine all the time ~ Eat great food as your day unwinds ~ Cook it up & sip fine wine!!•..!!•..••!!
I hope to share my creative expertise here at 'All Recipes'. Hey Hey wha d'ya say? When you pay attention to what you're eating... notice how different foods affect you for better and for worse. More healthful foods make you feel great ~ light, clear, and energetic. Isn't this the way we all want to feel? Let's turn our focus away from prepared foods. Forget about "THE WHITE STUFF!" My wonderful & wise parents taught me to shop around the perimeter of the grocery store, where all fresh foods will be found. Try it & see how this can work for you ~ forget about the boxed stuff & the white stuff & commercially prepared junk!
No more of that processed 'white stuff' ~ full of carbs & very little nutrition.
"HAPPY DINING TRAILS TO YOU!" ~ !!•.¸¸.• !! •.¸¸.••.!! ~
My favorite things to cook
Meats with my own sauce concoctions & sumptuous salads, with a tantalizing twist ~ appealing aperitifs & Norwegian deserts. Persian style dishes, which I've learned from my former husband's family & my son & daughter. Also, Italian neuveau style ~ lighter fare. Mexican dishes, soups & hearty casseroles ~ Minnesota 'hot dishes'...Yummy oven grilled veggies & shish kabobs. More ~ More! Get ready to dine so fine! Serve it up & sip your wine.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Easter ~ Angel lemon-cream pie like my Grandmother Jessie made in the 50s, when our family traditions began. It’s a fond childhood memory, enjoyed by all. Filled & decorated chocolate & vanilla cream Easter Eggs ~ Very artsy & time consuming. I made these with an artist cohort. Did the decorated eggs once ~ been there ~ done that.
My cooking triumphs
'A Chef’s Poem' I bake and make a cake ~ I toast and roast a steak ~ I hook and dish a fish ~ and grant a tasty wish ~ ~!!••.!!~••.!!~ Who am I ~ Oh, who am I?
... A cook and chef I am, am I ~ I am a Chef Said Di ~!• •!~ Oh my!
My cooking tragedies
Usually these happen when other people do the cooking for me. LOL some of my memorable tragedies where when I forgot to serve the oven warmed French bread with our meals. It was forgotten in the oven while we ate our salads & spaghetti. I haven't served bread with spaghetti too often lately ~ because of the added calories'... So not a problem anymore. But, that was ages ago when I was very young -a newlywed.
