Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2011
Yum! For an even more interesting cookie, use 3/4 cup white chocolate chips, 3/4 semi-sweet chocolate chips and pecans.

Very good. It did come out quite cheesy, which we liked.

Split Pea and Ham Soup I

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2012
Delicious! This was my first time making split pea soup and it turned out great. The ham bone and leftover ham made the soup plenty salty, so be sure to let it cook thoroughly before adding extra seasoning.

Rocky Road Ice Cream

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2011
For those of you who have complained about this not setting up well enough, you probably didn't add enough rock salt to your ice while it was churning. I also used half and half in place of the cream, and it was fantastic! Great recipe!

Lemon Ice Cream

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
This ice cream recipe was yummy. I cut the sugar down to 2 cups and added a bit more lemon juice than the recipe called for because I wanted it tart. It didn't set up as well as I would have liked. Next time, I might add more gelatin.

Peach Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2013
Very good. A couple of suggestions: Temper the eggs after heating up the cream; taste test the flavor after adding one teaspoon vanilla--two teaspoons can be too strong if you're using a high-quality vanilla. Canned or bottled peaches work for this recipe, as do fresh apricots.

I have fussy eaters who devoured this! It tastes like the Monterrey Chicken from Chili's. So good, and easy too.

Best Beef Dip Ever

My family loves this recipe. I strain the au jus through cheesecloth before serving and add more water to it if there isn't enough.

White Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
Yum! I have picky teenagers who gobbled this up. I did fatten it up a bit, using half and half in place of the milk and stirring in about half a cup of sour cream after it had cooked. I also used low-fat ground turkey which I think helped give it a real chili feel.

Chicken and Biscuit Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2011
This is yum, yum, yummy. I followed other reviewers' advice and added about a cup of half and half in place of some of the chicken broth and used store-bought biscuits on the bottom of the pan. My fussy kids and husband gobbled it all up!
