Herbed Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2014
Very good. I only used 2 potatoes and baked it in an 8x8 pan and cut the sauce in half. I didn't have chives so I used scallions and fresh parsley. I cooked it for about 2 hours then broiled it for 5 minutes or so to give it a nice color. I also grated some Asiago cheese on the top. It was really good

Fudge Brownies I

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2014
These were so good! I followed other reviewers suggestions. I used 3 eggs rather then 4, added some choc chips to the batter, three in about a cup of raspberries that I had to use bc they were starting to go bad and baked it in an 8x8 square pan. It took about 35 minutes Til it was done. I then frosted them with chocolate fudge icing. It was soooo good. The brownies stuck to our teeth! Yummmm

Easy Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2014
It had absolutely no flavor at all. I refused to waste all this food, so I drowned it with salt and garlic powder. It was then, ok. I added some paprika too it and I could finally say it was good. Not great, but still pretty good. I defiantly recommend adding extra salt and pepper, garlic powder and paprika to give it that kick it is definatly missing. The good thing about this recipe is it's very easy, but it defiantly lacks flavor and you need to give it some extra love.

Peanut Butter and Jelly Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2014
Wow Is the timing off! I had to cook for an extra 45 mins. After being in the oven for an hour and 10 mins, I turned the temp up to 325 bc I was afraid it would dry out and the crust be like a brick. Next time I make this, I'm going to bake at 325 for an hour. That's usually how I bake them, but decided to give this recipe a try. I used 6 chocolate oreos and 6 vanilla oreos crushed for the crust, and melted a cup of chocolate chips with 3 tablespoons of half and Half and poured half of the cheesecake mix in the pan and put 3 tbs of chocolate then put the other half of batter on top and scooped 3 more tbs of chocolate and took a knife and marbleized it. I also turned the oven off and let the cake cool inside for an hour to prevent sinking. I didn't use the jam, did the chocolate instead. After huge frustrations and pulling my hair out over the baking process it turned out good. If you do bake it at 250, it's going to take at least 45 mins longer than called for. But I recommend just doing 325 for an hour.

Tangy BBQ Ribs

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2014
This was outStanding! I have a way that I make ribs I've been making for years and this one blows mine away! The sauce is so good! I recommend putting a rub on first. The way I make mine is I put a rub on both sides. You can buy a rub or google a recipe. I don't grill them. I put them in the oven at 250 degrees for 2 hours wrapped in foil with only the rub on. After 2 hours, drain the fat. Coat both sides with the BBQ sauce as stated. Place ribs meat side up, and bake for 1 more hour, but at 350 degrees. Most important part... Baste the ribs with BBQ sauce every 10 minutes for the last hour.only do the meat side. You don't have to keep flipping both sides back and forth. Just coat the underneath bone side once, then flip over and do the good side a bunch of times. It may be annoying and take some time, but trust me it's so well worth it! The bbq sauce coat builds up and becomes really sticky, giving it that great restaurant taste. My boyfriends dad was always " the rib man" at picnics and functions. After I made this sauce and cooked them the way I do, I became " the rib woman"! Lol

Captain Crunch Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2014
This is really good but there's a lot more to it then just chicken and cereal. I pound my breasts thin with a meat tenderizer, then dip the chicken in flour, egg, and then mix Panko with the cereal, and deep fry it. I tried it like it stated and just did not work out at all

Asparagus with Lime and Ginger

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2013
This was really good. I steamed the asparagus with salt and pepper then for the topping I used olive oil instead of veggie oil and nixed on the cilantro. I added into the mix some fresh basil and parsley then sprinkled on a little extra sugar over the asparagus after it was cooked. That sugar really kicks things up a bit. Very delicious if I must say.

Erin's Cheesy Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2013
I followed this recipe to a certain point with a few adjustments. I used a whole bag of frozen broccoli/cauliflower Mix and chopped it very fine. I also added celery seed to the milk/ cheese mixture. Other then that it was pretty exact. The celery seed really gives it that kick it's missing.

Strawberry Rhubarb Custard Pie

Reviewed: May 21, 2013
I was very nervous when I made this bc I did it while my 1 yr old was taking a nap and was not able to get to the store but really wanted to try this. I ended up using what I had on hand which was 2 cups of strawberries and a cup and half of ruhbarb a 9 inch deep dish shell 1 cup and a quarter of sugar French vanilla coffe mate cuz I was out of milk apricot jelly for the glaze and I used cinnamon instead of nutmeg bc I was out. This tasted GREAT with that! Im sure if I had the proper ingredients this would be ridiculously outstanding! Thanks John!!

Spaghetti Pie III

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2013
My family wanted lasagna and tobe honest I was too lazy to go to the store. I stumbled upon this recipe and had MOST of the ingredients so I figured I give it a whirl. It turned out really good. I had no green pepper and I used regular onions bc I had no green ones. I had fresh parsley so I added that in. I also had no cheddar cheese so I sprinkled over in parmesan and put a few slices of American cheese on top. Yeah, I really didn't want to go to the store lol. But it turned out really good. I bet it tastes awesome if I had all the ingredients lol but even with what I had I still give it 5 stars
