Chocolate Chip Bread I

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2012
Love, love, love this bread. Added a bit more flour because of other reviews. Used 1 cup of chips. Added the chips when the timer beeped for additions. Turned out moist and perfect, chips didn't melt. My family gobbled it up. Made 3 loaves in a week.

Gingered Carrot Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2012
I cut back on the fresh ginger and it was still a bit much. I used vegetable broth (I'm vegetarian) and rice milk (1 1/2c.) instead of evaporated milk. I will definitely continue working on this recipe - maybe 1/8 c. ginger, but it is sure good!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Love this recipe. I am vegetarian so I use seitan rather than chicken. I also used frozen mixed vegetables for ease of preparation!

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2012
These are fantastic! The difference is the cinnamon. I didn't bother with the sugar on top or refrigerating them. They are fabulous. I could eat them all myself!

Breakfast Pies

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2012
Good and Easy. I made them for an office meeting and they were a hit. Didn't use peppers - added some tomatoes for color. Used store brand biscuits and flattened them out in the muffin cups. Don't overfill the cups and you'll have no problem. They definitely need salt and pepper.

Blueberry Streusel Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2011
Very easy - not too sweet. If you want blueberry, you won't go wrong with this one. Topping is a bit of an extra hassle but a lot of people like the strudel. If you want to avoid the hassle, just add more sweet to the ingredients and leave it off! I added a banana because I love them and it was great - mostly adds some moisture.

Morning Glory Muffins I

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2011
I made these in paper liners because I'm taking them on an airplane but the liners were a big mistake. Hard to remove! Used honey and applesauce, no sugar. Next time, I'm putting the wheat germ and walnuts in the mix instead of on top so they don't come off. Fabulous flavor. My husband loved them!

Very tasty. Very easy. Easy to modify. Add veggies, meats, alternate cheeses other than the Parmesan. Handy recipe to know.

Any noodles will do. Added chili powder instead of chili paste and some cumin. Fantastic! A big hit with the whole family!

Basic Sauce for Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2010
Good easy base. Thank you for the recipe. Easy to add to. I would definitely add more garlic. I used 2 cloves, still not enough. And I added basil and bay leaf. Very quick and easy. Better the longer it simmers.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2010
I was happy to read all the reviews saying this is a sweet cornbread because I usually use butter and honey on mine. In this recipe, I used honey instead of sugar. They turned out beautiful and moist but, as the reviews said, very sweet! Even too sweet for me. I will use less honey next time but will definitely make this again.

Banana Oat Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2010
Very easy recipe. I used less oil and added 1/2 cup walnuts. Next time, I plan to use applesauce instead of oil. My husband loved them and especially preferred them from the small muffin tin rather than the large!
